1st place in the 238 weight class 370 bench 295 c&j (I'm in the FHSAA which is what we do in Florida high schools.. its pause bench and clean and jerk, wierd I know.)
295 over the head (missed 305 after wards narrowly..)
335 still on the chest. first lift, pretty easy

how strict are the clean and jerks required to be in these competitions? ive seen lots of high school clean competitions and my god they look like reverse curls

usually VERY strict especially when we get to regionals and state, but since it was the opening meet of the season i gotta admit it was pretty leniant(sp). and I've actually tried oly lifting shoes on and they aren't worth the money imo especially since I rely more on bench press than cleans.Originally Posted by skinnycalves

squat you can bounce as hard as you want (just cant double bounce, kinda like you cant double bounce in the C&J)
bench you have to pause and wait for the press command
deadlift you have to wait till the guy tells you to put it down and you cannot drop it

Nice lifts!
You certainly can double (or triple) bounce on a clean recovery. Some of the top lifters rely on it on their heaviest attempts
Your jerk lockout looks really far forward! You could probably put up quite a bit more if you can pin the bar up and behind your ears. Hopefully benching that monstrous weight hasn't affected your shoulder flexibility too much
