That pic of your dog is ace....so cute...every dog should have a window like that.
Our dog died of old age a few years back, but she too used to love looking out the window. She'd lie on the top/back of the sofa with her legs dangling down one side and watch the kids play.
Nice arms

Another great workout. Another great day. Super busy at work...baaaah My brain hurts. Morning gym time. FTW
Warm-up
13 mins on elliptical. I made it a little harder than usual. I read an article recently that said working out later in the day was best because cortisol levels are higher in the morning. Plus we're fighting off effects of melatonin or seratonin... I should reread it. But it suggested making sure to break out into a sweat in warm-up. The whole article was debatable, but interesting.
Legs
Bench step-ups w/DB: 17.5 x 10 each leg; 17.5 x 10; 20 x 10; 20 x 10
External abductor machine: 130 x 10 x 3 sets
ss/ Internal abductor: 115 x 10 x 3 sets
Lying ham curls: 80 x 10; 80 x 10; 95 x 5 + 80 x 7
ss/ Leg extensions: 115 x 10 x 3 sets
Single ham curls: 50 x 10; 60 x 9; 60 x 9
ss/ Single leg extension: 70 x 10; 80 x 10; 80 x 8
Glutes cable pull backs: 20 lbs x 10 per leg; 20 x 10; 15 x 10
Abs
Inspired by Deltpex I decided to tackle the rope pull downs
3 sets: 35 lbs x 10 backwards and then forward facing.
Twists with bar (no weight)
Post w-o cardio
Stairmill again today. 21 minutes; interval setting level 11.
Felt good. I'm determined to work those abs and get the legs in shape. Will be working them again on Sunday with Tanner33. We had dinner together and went over her new diet that she just got from Derek. Very interesting and really pleasant to spend some time with a felllow bb enthusiast.
If ever you consider coming to Canada for a visit. It's much nicer in the summer tho. Put it on your bucket list !
Very exciting for sure! I can't wait to start my new life upstairs! LOL
thanks Shark. Doing my best to stay consistent....

Looks like an all-around solid day! Busy at work, definitely busy and productive at the gym. The warm up idea is interesting. I seldom do it in general except on leg days, but I do notice a difference on those if I don't warm up a little first.
No excuses, just performance...

Morning workout again. I really stuck to my guns this week. The dog wasn't feeling well and woke me up at 4 a.m. hacking! So by the time I had to actually get up at 5:15... I was grumpy. But as usual, I felt GREAT afterwards when I got into the office to kill another day !
Warm-up
15 mins Elliptical - worked up a sweat
Back and Chest
WG pull-ups: BW x 6 (woo!); x 5; x 3
alt/ Chest dips: BW x 8; x 8; x8
Decline bench press: 65 lbs x 10 x 3 sets
ss/ T-bar standing row: 70 x 10; x 10; 80 x 8
Incline DB bench press: 30 x 10; x 7; 25 x 7 (Imma weakling)
ss/ Straight arm pull down: 40 x 10; x 10; x 7
Cable x-overs: 45 x 10; 40 x 10; 35 x 10
ss/ reverse cable x-overs: 35 x 10; 30 x 10; 25 x 10
Back extensions: 3 sets x 12
Abs
Just breaking up the back/chest burns with abs - knee tucks and roman leg lifts - no weights
Post w-o Cardio
11 mins on the bike - My legs were "DOM"ing from yesterday's workout so I switched to treadmill
16 mins on treadmill
I do believe that warming up is crucial. I usually keep to under 10 mins. But I've notice this week that the 12-15 min warm-up is great. Oh and yeah...Imma way too busy!
Heehee you can be proud, man. haha As for reno's - my day job is getting in the way of my budding reno career ! hahaha Get set because the next week is going to be wall-to-wall reno's. I'm taking time off next week so as of Saturday until Thursday we plan to complete all the painting and the flooring (dining/living room and master bedrm). ...and more odds and ends!! Woo hoo!! Lotsa pics to come over the weekend !!
Thanks for the web site. I'll check it out! Looks like we're all just naturally drawn to home make-overs. Interesting lesson in social mores. Huh !
Oh yes, these things are great. Here is a video: http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercise...e/cable-crunch
I see in the video the proper direction I should be facing while crunching. I preferred this position. But I see people doing it facing the other way all the time. So I did both.Last edited by annemarie_DJ; 10-07-2010 at 07:56 PM.

Thanks, yes I've done these before. I've seen someone laying on their back on a stability ball facing away from the cable machine and crunching forward. I tried this once, but couldn't quite coordinate it, I'll leave it until its quiet in the gym and try it when no one is around so as not to make a complete idiot of myself.

Reno pics
OK then here are a couple of b4 and after pics. We are still in progress...
Here is the living room - it was a blue bedroom when we bought the place. There was a wall and crooked door - The boys tore it all down.
So we opened up the space - ehr.. tore down the walls actually and replaced the ceilings, installed pot lights (I won't mention the 18' beam) and refreshed the paint !
Here's a different view. The TV will be going up on the wall on left. It's all wired up and speaker wires are run up the back of the room for the 5.1 sound system. Woohoo Love the way hubby was thinking of all that before drywalling. That is "paper" on the floor to line the florr before installing hard wood.
And here I am with my "work of art". Laying out the lats of hardwood. There's almost more work in strategizing and placing the pieces than just nailing them down. This was my task. Doggy-approved!!

Home by 9:30 a.m. to start nailing the masterbedroom floor. Worked on it for 2.5 hours before lunch break. My legs and butt hurt abit from Sunday legs day. And pretty much every part of my body aches at this point with all of the morning's bending and stooping!!
Thanks! Things are going well. The pie wasn't great, sadly. We forgot sugar/splenda. I actually didn't mind it. Oh well... that's what happens when you don't follow recipes!
Thank you. I also can't wait for the house warming! I had an early appointment at my esthetician this morning after my workout. So I brought along a shake and it was perfect. Held me off until I got home for a real breakfast. (ps: I didn't get my receipt for the Casein, but I got part of my receipt for the Myofusion - confusing!)
Thank you Rob! We are trying to incorporate some modern but keep the old style too. I'm really loving it!
Awesome!! I look forward to seeing end product too. Won't be long now. Just gotta finish them floors. Then we'll finish the little ensuite in mstbdrm. Once the counter top is in the Kitchen (early next week), I think we'll be able to move up there. Yippee!
Oh yeah! I got the big Tannoys ready to blast me some live concerts on the big screen! Well, it's not a huge screen - but just right. Big enough for some good HD football games
Thanks! Yep we are moving as quickly as we can on this. Time is money! We're also renovating the "sun room". It's just off the kitchen. We bought a gorgeous window in a sale bin at hardware store. I think it was custom and the client never picked it up. $650 discounted down to $200 !! Oh yeahh.... way to catch some sales. I'll post pics of that too.
OK well... I should probably get back to work now. Catch y'all later. Have a great day and week...

No gym workout today. However, I friggen' worked hard at the house! Every fiber in my body aches - I have strained muscles in very unusual places! LOL My butt is really sore. My right knee is swollen and unhappy ! Suck it up!! Bending, stooping, nailing, drilling, hammering... Jeebers !!
We've laid down over 400 sq ft of maple hardwood so far. The master bedroom is done and it looks gorgeous!!! The living/dining room is partially done. We worked on the main high traffic areas - lots of cutting and some detail work. I believe it will take another 2 days. It's just the 2 of us working on it - but we are an amazing team
OK so... I'm getting costume ideas for my next Fitness Model competition... It would involve a tool belt ! hahah LOL
No gym time planned for tomorrow either. I gotta get all this done first. And I can't afford any more DOMS!...
