Hi. I'm 20 years old. Should I focus on bulking or cutting first? I look kinda skinny fat. Should I also start counting calories since I'm not counting calories and more guessing the intake? I'm doing stronglifts 5x5.
Counting calories helps immensely. I encourage that, and I would say consider what your relative bodyfat percentage is. I would say bulking to gain some muscle mass and then cutting would be ideal, however, I am not a professional to tell you what to do or not. This is coming from a guy who was a bit skinny fat and started at 150 pounds at 5"11.
