I don't like seeing regulars get banned for several months or permanently but when they do it's always a facepalm moment because it could have easily been avoided.
In Bill's case I'll never understand why he decided to call out a moderator over a rule change and we know how that turned out. Darinaldi was surely aware that posting what he did would make things personal. Both avoidable.

The first I, personally, think was misconstrued. Bill tried to make actual conversation and suggest the mod read a thread that might help him in his training (as he said, he didn't know where he was at, training wise) and the mod stated that he didn't read it, but would take it as condescension. (I was there for all of the posts, watched it all go down, the subsequent banning and deletions and what I feared was going to result in my own banning for asking honest questions).
IMO, D's bannable post wasn't "questioning mod authority/actions", as his statement was something along the lines of "Whoever banned ____ can lick my sack." But, whatever. What's done is done.-

Can't really argue with that.
I never was quite sure of all the details surrounding Bill's initial ban, though based on his past posting I gave him the benefit of the doubt that any trouble he stirred wasn't intentional, and I said as much. I'm pretty sure Darinaldi knew what would likely happen, but he wanted to have his say anyway. Definitely avoidable, and I can see how it would be interpreted as provocation. Then again, it would have been easy enough to ignore the comment.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

Neither would have rustled my jimmies but there are around 40 mods here, some will be more trigger happy than others, so unless you know them well I'd just avoid confrontations. In Bill's case he didn't respect the original ban so he was banned permanently. As I said, this is facepalm stuff.

1) John Cusack--Funny.
2) Hummus---Delicious.
3) The Beatles (Overrated?)--Most overrated band in Rock history
4) Fantasy Football---Life
5) Motorsports---Pointless
6) Ali Larter ---Meh
7) Rachel Weisz--Meh
8) Best Bond/Best Bond movie---Sean Connery, Goldfinger
9) British comedy (Like/Dislike? Provide examples.)---Some of it's funny. Some of it's not.
10) Breasts or butts? Breasts. Poop comes out of butts. Milk comes out of breasts. That's all the evidence I need.I remove my shirt to poop crew

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
1) Still hasn't climbed into the top 3 of my pet peeves list, but is in the top 5.
2) Delicious on almost everything.
3) He looks like he needs a bunch to the head.
4) I'm almost done with my 2012 bracket.
5) Awesome, especially with nachos.
6) Little too thin for my tastes, but still pretty smokin'.
7) Super bangin.
8) Tons are good in their own ways. Some more ridiculous than others. They all have special places in my heart except On Her Majesty's Service. Apparently I haven't seen that one, but from the old trailer I found, it looks really dumb.
9) Monty Python is dumb. Top Gear is cool. Gordon Ramsay is awesome. Angry Brits are funnier than funny Brits, IMHO.
10) Yes. Jake is a handsome fella but his sister is pretty 4/10wouldnotglanceherwaytwice

I thought On Her Majesty's Secret Service was a good Bond movie. I know Lazenby was a one-hit-wonder, but there was nothing wrong with the film itself, IMO. It was more "serious" than a lot of other ones (especially the Roger Moore era). In a way, it's a lot more like the newer Craig movies.
