Alright, alright...not sure how, or where I might store one, but this is the equipment forum and I think I might finally get one of these because I could see some potential benefits to owning and regularly using one of these bars (veering more towards the Marrs Bar, but I might have some questions on the latter too).
Does anyone have any experience using the new Prime Super Squat Bar and if so have you also used the Marrs Bar to have any feedback on pros and cons?
Is it a more quad dominant bar, or hip dominant like the Marrs Bar when it's on the back?
The Prime Super Squat Bar at first glance kinda looks a bit clunky and the handles look a bit long squatting with it...but maybe it's the best thing going on the market, who knows...
Any reputable sites that sell the Marrs Bar at the best price with minimal potential damage shipped?
I think I eliminated the Kabuki Transformer Bar from my possible list and I'm not really looking for a regular SSB that butts you forward to fight you from being upright. Any insight appreciated.

I can't speak to the Prime bar, which does look interesting, but I still love my Marrs Bar, which I originally bought and use for a low bar-style squat. I think it might be just as good or even better for front squats (handles behind you). I think they have worked out shipping issues so I'd probably just order from wherever you get the best deal. I know Titan and Rogue now sell it.
But we need impressions of the Prime bar, so you should really get both.

Not sure if it's too good to be true, but Fitness Factory supposedly has the Marrs Bar for $649 and $55 shipped to me would be $704 that's the cheapest I've seen it for so far if there's no other hidden shipping fee...unfortunately Rogue would be over $900 shipped to me.

Thanks man, she's totally rad and I can't wait to start incorporating that bar on leg day soon. When I was asking a few questions on the Marrs Bar (before I knew she ordered it for me), I e-mailed Matt Hunt over at Fitness Factory to confirm with him if that total was the complete one, he confirmed that it was.
I additionally asked about any promotions which there was none, but he kindly chipped 10% off the bar for me to $639...I then found out (to my surprise) that my girlfriend ordered it the other day and I messaged Matt back about her ordering it and if he would honor the discount to her order to which he honored that discount to her balance. FF has the best customer service and the best price I've seen on this bar thus far shipped and Matt has always been awesome to deal with.Last edited by Deep-Voiced-One; 11-17-2022 at 05:35 AM.

I have put out a few questions to a couple guys I know that I have the Prime Squat Bar, and my main questions have been in regard to the balance, the handle length issues, and how does it do the Marrs Bar setting. So far the answers that I've gotten have been that bar balances very well, one said much better than the Transformer Bar, which if anyone has followed my reviews, I was critical of how the TB balances and how it forced one to use those stupid long handles. I haven't gotten a good answer on the comparative to the Marrs setting outside of both saying they liked what the Marrs did and they would keep the Marrs Bar, not that Marrs is better, just unique. I will send out a few more emails and see what I get back and update. I'm very curious about the Prime Squat Bar myself, I think it very well could be a one and done bar.

I have both. The Marrs Bar is still the best bar I’ve ever used.
The Prime bar’s back plate is definitely unique and feels very nice, but it’s a true SSB, unlike the Marrs.
I normally don’t like long handles, but with Prime’s angled outward, they don’t interfere with the legs like some others do.
Ultimately comes down to your goals and preferences. If you prefer a low bar squat, go with the Marrs Bar without hesitation. If you’re wanting a traditional SSB feel without the traditional yoke, the Prime is a solid choice.

Not sure how good the deal is, but Titan has the Marrs bar on sale right now. Looks like it ships for around $759 plus you'd get rewards points., Priced out Rogue and shipping was like $211, so it was $924 shipped to me.
Edit: Oh nevermind, I see Fitness Factory is best.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #58 ▪█─────█▪

The Marrs Bar came in last week, tempted to peek inside, but my girlfriend's been guarding my gift lol. In the meantime to the owners, when you rotate the Marrs Bar in for a while and go back to squats with a straight bar do you feel the carry over is strong?
Thankfully I don't have any joint issues, but wanted to get the bar with the purpose of high volume back squats and peace of mind in preventing any discomfort down the road and actually getting more front squats in due to its favorable design for that movement as well, also perhaps throwing in some GMs with it too.

I never started. Wrecked my shoulders with dumbbells before I ever progressed to barbell work. Never bothered with straight bar.
Shoulders are feeling better than ever, but I can't come up with a reason to give straight bar a try. It's not like I'm ever going to compete and the Marrs Bar feels great. If anything, I might switch back to belt squats for a bit. They were my go-to for quite a while.

I still have to post my thoughts and opinions on my Marrs Bar when I get more time around using it and finding a good spot to store it, but in the meantime...Marrs Bar showcased a new "Lighter" version of their Marrs Bar called "The Higgy" which is 35 lbs (instead of 65 lbs) and is 81" length instead of 89" and it's gonna cost a bit less too from what I've read.
I'm no advocate of fb, nor am I signed up to it, but I seen their post on their public fb page with a vid clip of The Higgy which is supposed to be released soon.

Thought I'd link this post up for anyone new in the market for a Marrs Bar...both the original Marrs Bar and the Marrs Bar 2.0 (Higgy) will be updated to a black coated bar with chrome sleeves.

On the subject of the Marrs Bar, I'll be setting it up in the rack today and will post pics and some initial thoughts on it upon giving it a test run.
Edit: Setup my Marrs Bar, put the sleeves on it and took it for an initial test drive. It balances nicely on the back and is very comfortable to squat with, I also walked into it the other way for front squats and it's pure money on that movement too as the padding just clings and grips onto you.
You could basically do a zombie squat with it with your arms out minus the bar choking you in the process, also you can hold it to you if you wanted to...I would even go as far as to say that zerchers are absolete with this bar unless of course you wanted the bit of biceps recruitment from it. I can't wait to use this bar on leg day and it's very highly possible this will be my only bar I'll do any form of squat with.

Saweet! This bar is still SUPER high on my list of things to buy, I've been on the fence for a while because I'm worried that like the EliteFTS bar it will sit too wide on my shoulders. I'm the weirdo with pointy bones on the top of my shoulder, so unless the pads rest right on your traps its a painful experience for me.
