Sure they can do whatever they want, but that doesn't take away how brainless most gamers seem to be.
Take COD and Assassin's Creed for example
-They have yearly releases yet the new game is very identical
-They complain how the new game is broken, but continue to buy the next games
-They're easily duped by vague game trailers, often pre-ordering
-They spend $70 on the game, then turn around and drop $250 on skins and costumes.
-After dropping $300 on the above, they do it over again on next year's new game.

I don't think they are low IQ, but they seem to be lazy and have addictive personalities.

It's not low IQ gamers being catered to, it's kids.
Realize pretty much all games are really meant for kids at the end of the day. That rings true even more so for franchised/microtransactioned games like codSometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces
