    PMS and Cravings

    What supplements do you take or what do you do to manage those nasty food cravings around that time of the month? What works best for you?

    When I’m craving something sweet I just make protein shakes and put something good in them. My favorite is 2 scoops of vanilla powder, 8oz milk or milk substitute, 1 tbl PB2 (the powered peanut butter) 1 tbl cocoa powder and add some strawberries or ½ of a banana add Ice then blend it up. That normally calms the cravings down and it’s also getting in the protein I need so it’s a win win!!

    i only keep good food at home. so if i crave for something salty, ill have vegetables and dips, or hummus. sugar craving : cereals or 60 calories pudding. and if im not hungry, then i dont eat !! or it means im bored.
    Yeah... I guess I should join the Over 35 Forum now, right ?

    For the most part, I don't get cravings....maybe for some extra carbs...mainly rice.

    I just find that my energy is almost next to nothing.

    I do find that when I take an EFA (Top Secret Nutrition has a great one in their Diet Accelerator pack) it helps to feel a little less crazy.

    If I can get enough energy to get my butt to the gym, then busting out some cardio helps, too!

    i have found that if i don't 'give in' to my food cravings, they tend to subside.
    but if i want a lil chocolate, i go for dark. and a little goes a long way, in terms of satisfying my cravings.
