Talking MuscleTech's Anabolic Halo Performance Series Beta Review

    Anabolic Halo

First of all, I would like to thank MuscleTech and MuscleTechJake for allowing me the opportunity to be a beta tester for this new formulation.

I have always been a skeptic of MT products. In my opinion, most of their products in the beginning were all marketing BS. I hate proprietary blends, and that is what all of their products had, pixy dust blends of a ton of stuff. However, I am very impressed with their latest installment of products: the Performance Series. I am currently running a log of their new Nano Vapor, and it is quickly rising to the top of my favorite PWOs. I am very impressed to say the least. (Check it out-the link is in my sig)

Now back to the Anabolic Halo:

Taste: Usually taste does not make or break a product for me; I would eat dog **** if it would help me build muscle. However, tasting good is definitely a plus, and I thought this product had a very good taste. It is a product I would look forward to drinking every day. I would most likely drink it over a period of time rather than chugging it like I do most of my proteins. Very Impressed!

    8/10

Mixability: This was one of the better mixing proteins I have tried. I mixed it in a shaker with 10 ounces of water for about 20 seconds. There were no clumps or dry spots. I also loved the texture. It was a little thick, but not too thick. Almost like a melted milkshake.

    10/10

Profile:The profile is amazing. It has a 2:1 protein carb ratio. 2 scoops yields 40 grams of protein and 20 carbs. It also has 5 grams creatine, 5 grams glutamine, amino acids, electrolytes, and digestive enzymes per two scoop serving which is recommended. This would allow me personally to cut out 4 products: protein, creatine, glutamine, and aminos. I don’t buy electrolyte or digestive enzymes anyway.

    9/10

Value: This is the problem for me. I found it on one website listed for 42 dollars. If you were to use the recommended two scoops serving once a day the product would only last you a little over two weeks. There are 32 1 scoop servings. 42 dollars for 2 weeks is a little high in my opinion. That means it would run you about 84 dollars for a month’s worth. Geez!!!

    4/10

    Overall: 8/10

I would definitely buy this product if it fit better with my budget which is not very large right now. I am hoping to get a fairly significant raise in January. If it is significant enough, Anabolic Halo will be a staple in my supps for sure. I will also be purchasing Nano Vapor again as well.

I am very impressed with the strides MT has taken to make their products better. I never thought I would say this in the beginning. I thought they were just a massive company who cared little about their customers. I can see now that they have been listening to the feedback, and I believe that have got it right with the performance series

    Nice job guys!

    How much would be needed?

Thanks for the review Tony. I do have a question regarding the amount needed to build muscle. The serving suggests only one serving per day. At 40 grams for protein, is that sufficient to building additional muscle when the recommended amount of protein is 1 gram per pound of body weight on a daily basis?

    Thanks,

    Joel

Not a problem man. I love trying new supplements and giving my thoughts on their effectiveness.
I would not base the amount taken daily solely on the amount of protein contained in this product. It contains many different recovery agents, and that is what it is meant to do: aid in recovery. It says to take one serving a day, so that is what I would stick with for maximum effectiveness. You could take more if you wanted, but it is intended to be taken once a day preferably after your workout to kick start your recovery. I would use whole foods or a basic protein supplement to meet your daily protein needs.
I hope this helps, and keep killing the iron buddy.
