against the hospital.
When I was roughly 16 I broke my wrist and when the doctor took the cast off he did it wrong causing further injury to my wrist, nothing was done about it at the time, this has affected my life limiting me what I can do physically with my left arm, and also preventing me from a career in arm wrestling, I sent an email to get a free consultation for legal advice, I have a friend who has sued multiple people and has almost a million dollars from settlements and he instructed me on what to do to get the ball rolling on it, he told me not to settle for less than 650,000.
Something WILL be done about this, I'm just worried I'll fuk things up somehow.

I have some bad newz Loony. Statute of Limitations has probably already run. Most jurisdictions SOL on medical malpractice is only three years. Judging by your avi, you're pushing 30. Time to get into playing piano with your toes on Onlyfans.

I looked into it, I have had schizophrenia my whole life, it wasn't "treated" with meds until my 30s, it still isnt fully under control, im thinking this may work in my favour for still being able to file a lawsuit, we will see what a lawyer says.
I have a friend who has won three lawsuits and is sitting on almost a million dollars now from them, he has been giving me advice, i mentioned the statute of limitations and he said my mental health problems may be taken into consideration.
The doctor cut open one side of the cast and instructed me to take my arm/hand out which i attempted to do but wouldnt come out all the way, he used both hands to spread the cast apart to help me bring my hand and arm out but needed to readjust his grip so he released the cast which pinched the bones of my wrist together briefly causing me pain, i also had a milk allergy and had a calcium deficiency at the time o the bones werent even healed after 6 weeks, if he hadnt done what he did wit hthe cast and actually cut the cast off instead off trying to pry it open with his hands after cutting one side of it there would have been no issue.Cliffs:

What evidence do you have to support this? Witnesses that the cast was removed in this manner? Expert testimony that this was a negligent way to remove the cast? Expert opinion that this negligence could have the ramifications you're claiming? Medical diagnosis of your allergy and calcium deficiency? Proof that the doctor was aware of your condition?

If they fail to do anything about it I will go to the news, then its a matter of if the news will take on the story.
It was so long ago that nobody probably even remembers, this is a negligent way to remove a cast because i have had other casts removed, they simply could take an xray of my wrist to show that it didnt heal correctly, they have medical records stating that i have a milk allergy.
anyway I remember what happened, when the doctor negligently took the cast off and it pinched the bones together i made a noise in pain, after i tried to say the doctor took the cast off wrong and hurt my wrist and the doctor jokingly said they would have to rebreak the bone to have it heal properly.Last edited by johnvee73; 05-24-2024 at 05:56 PM.

Sorry, you have no case and the news doesn't care. Unless you can prove that the doctor removed your cast in a negligent manner, knowing he was putting you at risk, and it could have at least reasonably caused the complications you claim, no one is going to award you anything. Who is to say your wrist wasn't injured in a completely separate incident that wasn't properly treated? Even in a civil case, one is going to award you money based only on what you remember and believe.

Lol when I first got my hernia the doctor I was going to just let the nurse go over the results of the ultrasound and she misdiagnosed it; she told me it wasn't a hernia, it was just a water build up (WTF? but I didn't know better). Month or so later my intestine had become strangled, gangrene had set in, emergency surgery, lost a foot of intestine.... bad times. When I spoke to a lawyer he pretty much told me 2 outcomes were the most likely.
1. I win, but spend so much time, effort, and legal fees which may or may not get covered it would not even be worth it.
2. I just lose because pretty much mistakes happen and they could argue that it was a simple misdiagnosis and I had follow ups already scheduled, it was just bad luck.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

I'm gonna see what my legal consultation says on monday, its free for like 30 minutes.
I live in Canada so the process is different here I think, at worst if I do have I case I can always bring it to small claims court and it would cost nothing and I could sue for up to 25,000, at best a lawyer may take on the case with promise to pay him a percentage if I win the case, but we will see monday, the statute of limitations is what concerns me the most.Cliffs:

I can only imagine how something like that would interfere with things like holding children and grandchildren to bond with them.
How do you even assign a monetary value to that loss in standard of living?

The main issue is it has limited my strength in my left wrist since, hammer curls are out of the question, when I used to hammer curl I could do like double with my right arm, even straight bar curls the bone will potrude slightly in the left wrist and strength is limited slightly in some exercises but mostly hammer curls.

Not necessarily a witness, but you will need some kind of evidence that this took place, which could even be the doc confirming how the procedure was done. Otherwise, you could tell the judge that the doc hit you with a hammer and they would be forced to pay you money. You have to have testimony or documentation backing up that something happened the way you said it did.
