So my holosun came in (green). I can see a “bar” at the bottom when looking through the glass. Looks like maybe it’s reflecting off the bottom? This isn’t normal right?

Also my chevron and circle look blurry through the window….like it’s a double chevron almost overlapping eachother. Same with the circle.

I’d mount it first and see. Isn’t the ring supposed to help find the dot so the ring shouldn’t be in the sight picture if held at the distance it would be on a pistol ?

If you can still see it when actually shooting I’d say it’s a problem. If not then meh

Slide needs milled first. Held it at arms distance so would be the same as mounted. The circle helps find the chevron, yes. But the chevron is blurry (looks doubled) to begin with. And the reflections im getting in the glass doesn’t seem right. Eye doc hasn’t fit me with astigmatism so can rule that out…plus this green is supposed to be better if you have one

I'm not a optics expert, I only have a few illuminated optics...but I don't think that is right.

Send it back, maybe research some more what you want.

When I was going through this process I just wanted something dependable. I didn't want to mill my slide and end up with an optic that sucked or was unreliable so I went with the RMR. Yeah it has some flaws but it's a fukin tank. It really might be the toughest pistol optic.

At first glance it looks like your brightness is set too high for the environment. Take it outside during the day and see if it’s still there. Here’s what my Aimpoint looks like that’s set too high

Send it back, maybe research some more what you want.

I’ll take it outside in a bit but even on low it has the double/blur. It’s just that each one is more defined if that makes sense. The brighter the more blurry the double chevron looks. Need it to work indoors and outdoors though or it’s worthless to me

Set it appropriately and mount it and use it and see what you see

Also tell me how I’m going to mount it on a stock slide (it needs milled!). Holding it at arms distance replicates exactly how it would be mounted.

If you think it's wrong and your slide isn't even milled yet, just send it back and see if replacement is different/better/correct

Red dot takes some training but you don’t need some gimmick training reticle. Return and buy RMR
