Sure his behavior may not matter to people who are just concerned with the issues, but what about your average voter? Most people don’t follow politics like we do as posters on a politics forum. They might just catch a headline of Trump tweeting an insult at a celebrity and think it’s completely embarrassing and vote against him because his behavior is not presidential. I know people will quote me and say who cares, but I think this matters to a lot of voters who don’t really follow politics closely. We kind of need them to win. And it’s really frustrating because he could have prevented it by laying off Twitter.

I've been saying this on these forums for 3 years. People vote for candidates for different reasons and it may not be reasons you agree with. Some people solely care about the issues, some are single issue voters. My grandmother only voted for candidates that were anti-abortion. She didn't care about anything else. 2016 was her last election before she passed away but she didn't vote at all because she read some article that trump use to be pro choice. Then you have people that vote based on feels.
