Obviously there’s lots of incompetence and it seems BS like things hunter biden is up to gets overlooked a lot and his dads the president etc..
But let’s say you have an immediate relative who works directly for sec defense or something. Do you think there’s some pencil pusher who keeps track of things their relatives say on the internet.

How much does govt monitor people

I feel like none of us could ever know that.
I only read thread titles and my own posts.

Makes sense
Nah I mean do the relatives of the person get extra monitoring
Also it’s not just that your fukkin tire pressure censors are constantly pinging locations and stuff too.
Yeah but would you tone down criticisms and chit postings just incase it affected your relative.“Man’s image of the nature of man is not only a matter for objective inquiry; it is and has always been a prime instrument of social and political control. The Edward Snowden drama happened back around 2010 I believe? Pretty rusty on the dates here..
But if the government has been listening to us/tracking us over a decade ago just imagine what the fuk they're doing now..
My guess is its probably AI + algorithms being used to collect data and google is a key playerJournal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Uh sorry Reddit link
Was a more recent wired article about how the system has developed into full fledged tracking

So it seems you are talking more about individuals who have close associations with the government and potentially access to classified information, not the general population, I understand. See sig, I didn’t read your post.
In the beginning there is an extensive and significant background check. Everything about your life will identified and investigated to determine if you are a threat of any form. Including things like information that could be used to blackmail you, or bad financial issues, the idea of course is there is motive there to give away government secrets for personal benefit.
Families will be looked at, but I don’t think any trolling on an online forum from a relative you never talk to would be a concern.
I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about and could be 100% wrong.I only read thread titles and my own posts.

they don't actively track you unless there's a reason to. too many randos to monitor, not enough resources...
why would they care about the relatives? You aren't special just because you know someone who works for someone important...
I'm sure plenty of people posting on the misc have TS security clearances
They do randomly track you though for training, like your texts internet history etc. one dude found out his wife was cheating on him via a random spying, and got arrested after he called her out

No, lol. Unless you're tied up in a counterintelligence investigation, they don't even care about you beyond regular continuous evaluation requirements. There is also nothing special about family either. They would be just as concerned about your best friend as your brother. But in reality, they don't care about either. There's not enough money, manpower, or value in trying to keep tabs on that many low risk people.

They do whenever they want. Sometimes you might not even be doing anything illegal and they will tap into your phone or pc to "study" you psychologically. Like say you are watching some really freaky weird porn, there might be a CIA or google guy watching you through your phone's cam sitting there jotting down notes.

yes and no.
There are 330 people officially in the US, probably another 20 million illegal mexicans.
if youre a random pleb even a random pleb with a security clearance there is nobody actively monitoring you. But if you do something that really gets their attention then you will be monitored and here is the thing... they already have your data from before they noticed you. They already record every email, every phone call, text message, everything, maintain that forever legally without requiring a warrant. the secret fisa warrant is then issued to allow them to "look at" the data they already have and only if youre a US citizen so they can look at the data without a warrant unofficially. They also are not required to tell you or anyone they got the warrant.🌺 Lauren Brooks Kelly (snailsrus) - Jul 25, 1991 – Jan 29, 2022

this, There are 4 million people with security clearances and like 25% of that is top secret clearances, with 1.3 million people having TS. They do not have agents assigned to monitor 1.3 million people individually. I wouldnt be surprised though if they get AI to monitor the data from the continuous evaluations to flag people for manual reviews. The banks already have software monitoring people for odd patterns of transactions and are required to report them to the government.🌺 Lauren Brooks Kelly (snailsrus) - Jul 25, 1991 – Jan 29, 2022

yeah anyone want to look it up you can see from whistle blower in like 2001 way before Snowden, talked about there was an internal debate at the NSA, whether to only start recording data once they identify a suspect or to just record everything so that they have it to go back and look at it at any time and they choosed the record everything and mentally gymnastic'd it with "well its ethical because we wont look at it unless we get a warrant" which the whistle blowers in the decade after proved they didnt even do that.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willia...ence_official)
Its pretty insane if you think about it, they literally record every single email and phone call and all internet traffic, that is such a massive amount of data and is incredibly expensive to do.🌺 Lauren Brooks Kelly (snailsrus) - Jul 25, 1991 – Jan 29, 2022

It's not Every phone call text or email it's certsin keywords that get flaged.
I don't pretend to know anything. That's basic common knowledge really.
Power as a whole is not bad. It's how certain individuals use that power that turns it from a good thing to a bad thing."it takes a wise man to know when he is in error and a noble man to admit to it"
