Most of us have seen the Iron Sheik more recently so of course we're bias to say Sheiky baby because its what we know. Even the Iron Sheik Biography on A&E is only a few months old so even if people never saw the Iron Sheik wrestle, they got to know him and his legacy\family from the show.
Kind of an unfair question since most people haven't seen the Original Sheik.

Massive fish in a small pond Vs guy used up and down a bit in the biggest company.
Probably go original Sheik, his time at the top lasted so damn long even if less people were watching. Iron Sheik was barely a top guy for a bit and cooled off considerably before fading out entirely (beyond the shoot interviews or Howard Stern notoriety). All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I’ve seen and know everything about both men’s careers and personal life’s. The original sheik is less known, although he trained wrestlers most every fan knows Rob Van Dam and his nephew Sabu. Would he have drawn in the big leagues? Iron sheik did.
