Hey all, using this thread to keep me accountable for the next few weeks. I’m 5’10 sitting at about 195, and bulked here from 181 for the past few months. I got into powerlifting, and my lifts are as follows:
B: 290
S: 405x5 (445-455?)
D: 495x4 (535–545?)
I am going to start around 2400-2500 calories, as I only need to shed <10 lbs, and will keep this running 4ish weeks and evaluate after that. Hoping I can keep my strength but get my cuts back!
I’m just going to hit 190g protein, and fill in the rest as to how I feel, while drinking 1gallon of water.

First two days back on the grind, and moving full steam ahead. Dropped a lot of weight initially, obviously due to the decrease in stomach content and some water loss due to eating a bit cleaner. Was 196.5 on Friday, currently 193.5.
It seems like a lot for two days, but from experience, I know I carry a lot of water weight on bulks. Also planning on running Sheiko advanced medium load starting tomorrow. My 4 Week Shred || https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=175775091&p=1551919621#post1551919621

Sitting at ~193, a 3.5lb loss most likely due to water. Going to run this cut for a few more weeks and see where I sit. Strength is still going up though, 410x4 squat PR : https://imgur.com/a/U18ZisN

Congrats on getting started, and congrats on your 3 lift numbers. If you were to start going to powerlifting meets you’d need to get a bit lower on the squat, hip joint has to get below knee joint, but impressive weights nonetheless. I’m aiming to get my lift total over 1,200 one day (currently just over 1,000).
S: 375 pounds x 1 - 168-pound bodyweight 5/2019
B: 300 pounds x 1 - 177-pound bodyweight 7/2019
D: 405 pounds x 1 - 168-pound bodyweight 5/2019
OHP: 180 pounds x 1 - 168-pound bodyweight 5/2019
A great guide to nutrition: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=173439001&p=1481919401&viewfull=1#post1481919401

Thanks! I actually competed back in February which was my first meet, I think my total was 1100 I believe in the 181 class if I recall correctly. Literally missed my third attempt on all 3 lifts because my ego got ahold of me and I made too big of a jump.
I agree though after rewatching the video my squats were definitely high, going to need to sink them in comp. What program are you running/when’s your next comp? I think 1200 is definitely attainable, because that’s my next milestone too (well I want 1300, but baby steps). My 4 Week Shred || https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=175775091&p=1551919621#post1551919621

191.5-192 this morning. A solid 1.5 lb loss this week, 5lb loss total. Probably going to keep this cut up the rest of the month and shoot for 188-189 then see where I’m at. Been feeling wicked bloated from veggies though. Chicken, beer, and cheesecake tonight!

Hey guys, due to finals and moving the past week and a half, I put the cut on hold. I’ll be home for 3 weeks, so I plan on finishing this cut while home. Good news: maintained my weight and weighed in at 192 this morning.
Goal: lose 3-5 lbs, will update with pics at the endMy 4 Week Shred || https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=175775091&p=1551919621#post1551919621

Final update: Clocked at 185 this morning. Feel like this is a good place to maintain and get a tan for the summer.
