My mom (who is 76) is visiting for the Holidays. Tonight is her last night so I wanted to take her for a drive. She is awesome and I love her. She is overly cautious and wont let anyone drive her in a car but me. Not my siblings...etc.
Took her out for a quick spin and launched the car. Then we see lights. I dont swear in front of my mom. I said "oh shoot" and she followed with "oh sh!t! Too funny.
Cop was super cool and let me off since he did not get radar on me and actually told me burning rubber was not illegal

Chaz. Thanks man. Trust me I know it! So great to have my mom here. With COVID it has been some time. We went up north and visited last year so it has be a few years. She finally retired and trying to convince her to move down here. She can even stay with us. I am the youngest of 3 and I am guessing my mom would be most comfortable with us. My mom loves my wife and my wife equally back as well. We have talked and we understand that our parents are not getting older so we are trying to make plans.
Funny how our roles shift in life. But back to your point, I am constantly reminded about how lucky I am. Most for my kids, my family and my wife. I cant imagine a day without her and I am man enough to admit that I would probably not have accomplished 1/2 of what I have done in life without her.
Lucky enough to have two great women in my life, my mom and my wife. The fact that they love each other...how could anyone complain? I am 99% sure my mom would side with my wife if we ever divorced And she would probably be right to!RAW lifts

Loved your mom's reaction and language! And just think..for a long time she benched more than you as well.
Glad to have spoken to my dad today..he's closing in on 87 and clear most of the time, but forget some words etc....I'm grateful for each day though.Last edited by steffo99; 11-29-2021 at 03:26 PM.

Yea, my mom is too funny. As she gets older she reminds me totally of my grandmother. No filter at all but the sweetest woman. My kids get such a kick out of her. I am so glad I recorded it. We all got a big laugh out of watching it.
Thanks man. Mom flew out today. It is those small moments that sometimes are the best! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.RAW lifts

hehe. Yeah. The top layer of the film is thick with visual "stuff". Not a single molecule in that film is there without deliberate intention by the mastercraft of mindspace. OK, maybe not all the air, but definitely every object. Dude was meticulous and relentless in his process from what I've gathered. Oh, and a brilliant storyteller.
I watched the film for the first time many years ago and before being married. Yeah, a chit-ton of sex, sexuality, desire, Nicole Kidman nekked. All that good stuff. Recently, I watched it again and was struck at what I came to believe was Kubrick's intention with this story. There's a lot of layers to this film and many overlapping threads, but I feel it all comes down to a basic message and I think you would appreciate that message. Kubrick spent almost 4 years crafting the film, his last. Right up until his death which some speculate was a result of opening a particularly private can of very fuked up and degenerate worms.
Anyways, I'm not going to make it easy for you, Mr Curious, so if you want to know why I asked that question, and maybe gain some useful insight, then re-watch the film. Even if just for seeing Nicole nekked.
Or don't. Either way...
