I'm gonna do my legs today and was wondering if it's ok to run on the treadmill right afterwards for about 30 minutes? If not, is there a better kind of cardio to do after a leg workout?

It takes me about 2 minutes to cross the parking lot to my truck on leg day. About an hour later, I ride my recumbant bike at home at a gentle pace.
If you "can" run, you might increase the intensity of leg day. If that's not it, more power to you.
edit: Thinking more, even the next day at work, the 1st flight of stairs feels like I'm climbing the empire state building. I like that feeling though. I usually do my cardio (leg based) the day after leg day to loosen them back up. It takes a lot of warmup though.Last edited by gecko2424; 04-06-2006 at 09:12 AM.

a slow jog may be benificial in help burn of some excess lactic acid that has build up during your work out... however.. i can barley make it up the steps after i work legs ...steping of the curb to get to my car is a challenge , let alone running...
best of luckIMPOSIBLE IS NOTHING.

If you do the bike instead of running after a leg workout is actually quite good for you. The bike will strech and relax your muscle and make it easier for your following day.
