Is it ok to run right after leg workout?

I'm gonna do my legs today and was wondering if it's ok to run on the treadmill right afterwards for about 30 minutes? If not, is there a better kind of cardio to do after a leg workout?

You are going to absolutely torch your legs doing that. I can barely walk the two days following a good leg workout. I usually follow up my leg workouts with 10-20 minutes of light treadmill (3.3mph) walking to reduce the effects of the lactic acid buildup. I ran after a leg workout once. I don't want to talk about it.

We were forced to run after leg workouts in HS during football. The first couple of times it is rough but your body gets used to it pretty quickly.

Just do whatever you can handle.

It takes me about 2 minutes to cross the parking lot to my truck on leg day. About an hour later, I ride my recumbant bike at home at a gentle pace.

If you "can" run, you might increase the intensity of leg day. If that's not it, more power to you.

edit: Thinking more, even the next day at work, the 1st flight of stairs feels like I'm climbing the empire state building. I like that feeling though. I usually do my cardio (leg based) the day after leg day to loosen them back up. It takes a lot of warmup though.

If you can run for 30 minutes AFTER you leg workout, then you need to revise your leg workout. It shouldnt LET you run for 30 minutes afterward

I wouldn't run after a leg workout. But I do do cardio after a leg workout. Helps to reduce soreness,

Yeah, it's ok. I run for hours a day, after or before lifting weight. Don't rep too much though. I do probably 155-200 for a light workout.

Have no idea how you plan on running for 30 minutes after your leg workout. I practically have to be carried out of the gym after my leg work outs.

If you do the bike instead of running after a leg workout is actually quite good for you. The bike will strech and relax your muscle and make it easier for your following day.
