Honestly you may be right... hopefully he just starts promoting an already existing green crypto like Cardano.
How is the world going to adopt a crypto for use that is widespread and available if there are new coins coming out every month with new advanced features and tech?
It's been 10 years since bitcoin and there is no widespread use.

Because it's dinosaur tech, and has been infiltrated and manipulated by 'the elite' (many devs who left BTC talk about the shady people who were literally state employees and bank employees. Please watch the vids in the my sig thread, names are mentioned that you can research). Elon is currently a major player in it's manipulation, as we have just seen - literally 1 tweet sends it crashing.
I believe the crypto market as a whole relies on health of their poster child. If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

elon is a fckhead. it's sucks because the day before that tweet i drove a friend's model Y for the first time and it was the best car that i have ever driven. i didnt realize those cars were so fcking heavy, in fact i would wager that they are the heaviest sedans on the road. seriously considering making a model S my next car. but this doge talk is annoying af. talking about talking to doge devs and sht.
im hoping the 2021 porsche panamera e-hybrid will be the best of both worlds and make me forget about tesla. trying to forget about car buying until after some sort of bull run anyway. would be a huge waste of money spending before before any kind of run***Gender Non-Committed***

This shows how volatile the crypto market is. Crypto can easily be manipulated so the rich can profit while all of the HODLERS are left HODLING the bag. The rich are laughing all the way to the bank on the idiots that hold a defunct coin

It's extremely limited in what it can do in comparison to many other cryptocurrencies.
Slow, expensive transactions, no privacy protocol, no smart contract capabilities, and no token capabilities. XMR, DASH, Bitcoin Cash, PIV X, Pirate Chain, Smartcash and Z cash are literally all faster, cheaper, most have privacy capabilities, and have capabilities outside of just transactions.
(E.g. Tokens and NFTs are available on-chain on Bitcoin Cash, also a social network has been built on-chain on Bitcoin Cash. Pirate Chain devs have created an amazing amount of tech for the currency, from an operating system, to encrypted messaging, to a payment system - not third party devs, the actual currency devs built them. Dash has private send option, instasend, and standard.)
Lightning Network has been in development for years and every year there are promises that it will be ready for mass adoption. Running a node is extremely complicated, it simply can't scale, is also centralized and people can't receive payments offline.
TLDR: Bitcoin can literally only do one thing, in a slow and expensive way.Last edited by BetaAsPhuck; 05-14-2021 at 08:30 AM.

I don't think you are late.
ETH isn't going anywhere, and MATIC's transaction volume is increasing and it's supply on exchanges is going down.
BSC literally reached it's limits the past 2 days, and was laggy for a while and was unusable for about 6 hours. IMO it's just a matter of time until MATIC really explodes. Just my opinion. If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

A lot of what you saying isn't wrong but the argument you are making is somewhat narrow. To look at the other side, what about those who view BTC as an invesment or store of value. Owning and investing in gold is dinosaur tech as well yet it has been the go to for many people for a long time. First to market, proven, well know, well distributed, and easy access are more of a reason for BTC market dominance than anything such as ability to transact digital art. In fact I would say that since so many blockchains are now doing the same things and new ones can more easily be created faster than ever, many of them just cancel themselves out.

I believe that BTC works well as a store of value or speculative asset. It also has a massive brand recognition and network effect, that isn't going away any time soon.
I believe however, for the market to mature that other cryptos with better tech need to flip Bitcoin. The poster child kind of frames the way the industry is seen by normies.
Most people just know about cryptocurrencies and think that is all what people mean when they talk about crypto, and have no idea about smart contract crypto projects. Despite them being significantly more impressive and disruptive than Bitcoin, because they double as both a currency project as well as a program that Apps can be built on.If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

Regarding the MATIC supply crunch, I'm only speaking about the amount of MATIC that centralized exchanges have to sell to customers is going down. As people begin to store and stake MATIC, the less is available for sale.
Also, transaction velocity can be decoupled from transaction supply (the velocity of money is important in economics). Meaning a limited supply of MATIC can be used for a high amount of transactions - MATIC just goes from one entity to another without people storing it.
However, we're talking about exchanges having a limited supply. So people are likely just taking it off exchanges to use the MATIC ecosystem too.If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...
