It would if I had bought it. Like I said, I skimmed through a friend's copy once.
When I changed jobs a few months ago, my former supervisor got me a copy Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.
"Oh, wow. THANKS."
Woulda been happier with a gold chain and a FUBU sweater.

LTFOL
Watching an old episode of "The Sopranos". Tony finishes up with his Russian mistress and lights up a cigar. She grabs a book from the nightstand.
"What are you reading?"
"'Chicken Soup for the Soul'."
"You should read the Italian version - 'Tomato Sauce for your Ass'."

I'm suddenly wishing that
1) I brought my umbrella into the office this morning rather than leaving it in the car
and
2) I wasn't wearing a white shirt-

Btw, Dom, my appendix had torn and was starting to leak. A little gangrene had set in.
Before the surgery, I told the doctor about the other two flare ups I had experienced. She expressed some concern that the procedure might be more difficult than normal because of that. Turns out she was right. Since the infection had been there for so long, the small intestine drooped down and tried to cover my appendix in order to protect it. She was just about to abandon the laparoscopy and cut me open when she peeled open enough layers of my small intestine and found my appendix attached to it. So, she had to take her time trmming it off of the intestine before removing.
And that's how you turn a 15 min. procedure into a two hour one.
And all of this for an organ we don't even focking need. Here Lies the Rant

Who's to say there isn't another Mrs Soprano? I mean, not with all the fears and the paranoia..
There aren't very many one-liners I remember from the show. I remember most of the hits & attempted hits and subplots. Anyway, that was a good episode.
I think the most refreshing character to be bumped off was Ralph.Last edited by GeneralSerpant; 06-27-2013 at 02:17 PM.

Wow, really glad to hear you're okay Lenco. It can get serious fast once it ruptures and that explains why you had a fever and chills.
GI issues are serious business. My grandfather died after the hospital they took him to dismissed severe abdominal pain as constipation and didn't do any tests until it was too late. In the end it was something called mesenteric ischemia. I won't go into how upsetting it was to watch him die and know it could have been easily diagnosed and treated, but the point is when something goes wrong down there it can be deadly.
What's the recovery time?

So Lenco, does the fact that the doc operated on your intestines means that you're now marginally less full of sh*t than you used to be?
