You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

i haven't bothered to shim mine. i guess i could see how they could be a little tighter, but i haven't had an issue with them so no big deal.
i've clipped the hook on the way up once on a set of front squats. then i realized i was setup too far forward. just a small scratch and i got over it pretty quick. too pretty and it wouldn't match the rest of my stuff, lolDomicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

he included some shims with my monos and said if there was too much wiggle room that they'd take care of it. so far it hasn't been noticeable so i haven't bothered with it. maybe since mine was a custom job he included them by default; maybe with the stuff designed for rogue stuff he's got the specs down pat enough that they don't need to be included...
there was a small blemish on the powder for one of the counter weight pucks and mech offered to mail me a new one, which i appreciate, but don't care enough about to take him up on the offer; i only noticed because i was eye-****ing the **** out of the new equipment. i forgot about it until i was thinking about the scratch.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

Don't need. NE was having issues with the pins being too tight on one side of each upright. I think it's because the slots are not 100% centered, and his measurements seem to go along with this. So he needs slightly smaller pins (we're talking less than 0.010" here). Yours is fine

Here are the hex bolt cap/covers for 9/16" bolt head or 3/8" dia. shaft:

I believe I've also seen these on Fullcircle padding as well.
The caps won't stay in place without an adhesive so I used:
Permatex® Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant
And it works great... it is difficult to pull the caps off nut but when you do they can be cleaned and reused.
I think they look better than bare...
