As mentioned before... don't pass up the chance to let Mech's powder coater perform his majic. Mech's painter is just as OCD and it shows in the fine work he creates.

I took $100 off what I paid for them and see if I get any interest. 50% is probably more realistic but people always offer low on Craigslist so I usually price slightly high and the meet in the middle number is usually what I wanted for it.

I somehow, not even sure when, clipped the edge and took some of that beautiful powder coating right off. I had a moment of silence before the next lift, still pisses me off because I do not remember ever hitting the edge when racking.

i haven't bothered to shim mine. i guess i could see how they could be a little tighter, but i haven't had an issue with them so no big deal.

i've clipped the hook on the way up once on a set of front squats. then i realized i was setup too far forward. just a small scratch and i got over it pretty quick. too pretty and it wouldn't match the rest of my stuff, lol

Yeah, just the tip LOL. I think it must have happened when re-racking a squat, not during bench or anything.

Aren't the shims default? I think Mech shims all of this equipment . I will wait for him to respond.

he included some shims with my monos and said if there was too much wiggle room that they'd take care of it. so far it hasn't been noticeable so i haven't bothered with it. maybe since mine was a custom job he included them by default; maybe with the stuff designed for rogue stuff he's got the specs down pat enough that they don't need to be included...

there was a small blemish on the powder for one of the counter weight pucks and mech offered to mail me a new one, which i appreciate, but don't care enough about to take him up on the offer; i only noticed because i was eye-****ing the **** out of the new equipment. i forgot about it until i was thinking about the scratch.

Don't need. NE was having issues with the pins being too tight on one side of each upright. I think it's because the slots are not 100% centered, and his measurements seem to go along with this. So he needs slightly smaller pins (we're talking less than 0.010" here). Yours is fine

yeah i have a hole in my wall from a barbell going through it, so a small scratch on the bottom of the hook ain't no thang.

Also, for those with OCD I just wanted to mention again that there are nut/bolt covers that will help reduce the likelihood of scratching your purdy racks up with slot or drop in monos that have exposed nuts 🥜

My mono cam bolts are 9/16" head

Here are the hex bolt cap/covers for 9/16" bolt head or 3/8" dia. shaft:

    http://www.exercise-equipment-parts....s-toppers.html

I believe I've also seen these on Fullcircle padding as well.

The caps won't stay in place without an adhesive so I used:

Permatex® Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant

And it works great... it is difficult to pull the caps off nut but when you do they can be cleaned and reused.

I think they look better than bare...

I agree looks much better then the bare nut showing!

Well I gave in (wife gave me the ok) and decided I'm going to order a set, now I just need to sell these rogue ones and my two sets of standard rogue j cups.

After seeing the quality of his work I know I won't be disappointed I know his will be better in every way and if I can go one workout without bashing my head on them vs those hockey sticks that alone will make it worth the upgrade!

In the past I haven't had a ton of luck selling gym equipment to fast in my area so I don't think that will be an issue. Mech said by next weekend they would be ready to ship so if they do sell I can deal with no monos for a few days.

Also, same question for post #2641 on top of page 89? Can't get those to show up.

I can't see your image. I've noticed that my embedded images are not showing up either, but when i quote myself (or your post) I can see the image in the preview.

The web site hasn't been feeling well for the past few weeks for whatever reason--a lot of times the forum pages won't even load. The embedded pictures don't always work because whatever machines are serving up the images keep timing out.

yeah, BB.com has been bad this week. It's given me an error "can't load page" quite a few times when I've tried to reply this week.. very unusual on this site. They must've blown up a server or something..
