yeah ultimately the C8 is about performance for the money. Closest thing to it is the Cayman and it's a turbo 4-banger with 350hp. This C8 is a NA V8 with 500hp that will probably rekt the cayman in all performance tests, or at least match it.
Fact that a lot of people think it looks pretty good at the same time is just a bonus.**MFC**

Basically. Can't really understand why the hate for this car other than the fact that they know most people who were planning on getting something else, now all of a sudden rethought their decision and added the C8 to that list.
Or maybe they hate the fact that this car is getting so much attention and they're not simply a chevy fan, a corvette fan or both.
Or maybe it's the fact that they also own nice cars, whatever they might have, an M6, GTR, AMG whatever that they know some joe schmo could get this car and draw more attention for a lesser price than what they currently own.
Lots of reasons for the hate in basically all automotive forum where the C8 is the topic. I think people need to get over it. If you don't like the car, don't get one, or don't acknowledge it. Just ignore it, or move along like it doesn't even exist.
Let others who like the car share their excitement about it lol.

I'm actually VERY shocked more people love this corvette more than the C7. I mean a lot of people like the C7 over the C6 but i thought that would be it.
But everywhere you phucking go. FB, IG, random car forums, i'd say 90% of the people posting LOVE this car. People who said they'd never own a corvette until now. People who said if they were shopping for a car in that price range, they'd get the C8.
So many people approve of this car which is like you said, an added bonus to the brilliant masterpiece GM put together. And the phucking price point is just another cherry on top to add to the rest of the cherries.
And again, this is the BASE model hahahaha.
Wait until the LT7 C8Z comes around. Holy phuck.

I highly recommend waiting. With the C7 many improvements were made over the life of the model. While I don't think the C8 will have any major flaws, I never recommend first year buys. Plus, who knows, you may end up being able to pick up a used, CPO, or GS, or Z06 later.

I am interested in the blowers, but am hesitant to lose warranty coverage on the drivetrain for a 2018 GT, given the issues that people have had even at stock. As a person who isn't going to do any of my own install work, it would be cheaper and less risky to just buy a more expensive stock vehicle. It's my daily, no beater

2017 C7 Z06 vs. 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray in one year?
I'm tempted to come full circle and buy another Corvette to match one that was totaled in a car accident... I've found the previous generation Z06 always looks better than the newer generation base model (C5Z > C6; C6Z > C7). Can't tell with the C8 until I see it in person.

Such a hard question to answer, depends on your end goal and budget. If you simply want the faster stock car, then C7 Z06. If you want looks, that's on you. If you want the better platform, then C8.
What I'm hearing is you can't get the upgraded aero without the big wang. Just FYI future C8 brahs.|| MFC || C7 Crew || Trance & Techno Crew ||
