Sweet. I ended up not pushing through with this game. I will buy it wren I’m ready to play it. Right now it’s Spider-Man and ff16 until rebirth.

Sold my OLED to my boy, sorry boys - I'm out until Unicorn Overlord comes out (which I will borrow it) or until Switch 2 hits. Hope the Sw2 is backwards compatible, have to have 40+ games lying around now, most played somewhat but some in the backlog.

You carrying a Steamdeck in place of the switch? You did the old switcheroo? Metroid prime 4 boyo.

finished odyssey today. all i have to say is thank god i played spyro and songebob before playing this. otherwise the bar would have been set to high and i wouldnt have enjoyed them

hands downy favorite platformer of all time. better than mario 64 and mario galaxy.my only complaint was the aiming was wonky during the tank segments

it reignited my desire to play nintendo games and in getting mario wonder and 3d world on boxing day

Superb. I played it back to back twice in a row. Put in well over 100 hours before I was ready to move on.

A few hours into my Red Dead 2 playthrough and I'm enjoying it so far, aside from the technical aspects

- very cinematic experience, even the side quests are varied and have a host of unique characters and stories. So far they have been fun and unique
- dialog is excellent
- the setting and world is really cool
- protagonist is great and NPCs as well, they often have convos with you and it makes the world feel alive

Cons:

- 30fps on console and has bad resolution, it looks like 1080p or something
- controls are confusing to get the hang of
- everything is slow, from animations to constantly having to tap X to move fast on the horse.
- gameplay/shooting isn't the most fun due to fps limits


Still really good so far. I've had it in my backlog waiting on a 60fps patch but seems like I'd wait forever so might as well get it over with.
