For that reffedf I think you would be more comfortable with getting in about 150g the first few days, that way you won't blow back up. I would start with home fries in the morning then rice and oatmeal for the rest of the day throw some fruit in the oatmeal.

2/3: Rest Day and last day of ketorificness..
I'll weigh in and take pics in the morning. Then Im off to the gym to train with the boy, and after that Im going for BREAKFAST!!! And yes, it will include carbs
I'll also write my thoughts about this diet, but overall I give it an "A". Really manageable and great results. I'm planning on recommending it to a couple of clients."All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become." Buddha

@Liverpoollass: I'd definitely consider this diet for contest prep, if I were not leaning out properly. Post contest I think I just have to have a more controlled food/carb increase, and be aware of my sodium levels and water intake.
@ Zilla: I feel good. Busy day so no time to go crazy, lol. Just had protein in the morning and made it to breakfast around noon. Had 2 slices of turkey bacon, half a bowl of oatmeal (maybe 1/2 cup cooked), and some fried potatoes. Then I didn't eat again until just now. Had 3 small pieces of cheese pizza with the kids. Im guessing thats between 1400-1600 cals. Told the kids Id take them for frozen yogurt and Ill get a small one of the fat free/sugar free and call it a day.
Did train today. Kind of a random w/out of kb swings, split squats, dips, rows on the hammer strength, and calf raises.
Rest day tomorrow. The boy invited me to a Superbowl party, but then he decided he'd rather skip it and hang at his place and make me dinner. So I'll make dessert and save some cals for a little cheat tomorrow night."All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become." Buddha

2/6:
Feeling a little under the weather today so rest day for me. On the Lyle diet my training was kind of random, so back to business tomorrow. Per Zilla keeping cals at 1400 until Friday then making a little jump to around 2000 which will seem like a veritable feast, lol. I think the plan is to lose a few more lbs., hold that for a while, then do another stint on the Lyle diet about 14 weeks out and then finish off with a reg contest diet.
18 weeks out and 18 lbs to lose. Blerg."All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become." Buddha

2/7: Legs
Not a great lifting day. They were maintaining the equipment and everything was out of service or moved around, and these 3 crazy russian dudes were monopolizing the squat rack and leg press. They were oblivious to my bertstares as they did their partial squats and leg presses...
Walking Lunges: 3 x 2 lengths of gym w/ 30, 40, 50 lb bb
Front Squats: 2 x 10 @ 95lbs, 2 x 10 @ 115 lbs
Single Leg Press: 3 x 10 @ 1pps
Ham Curl: 3 x 12 @ 90, 100, 110lbs
waited 10 min for some dude who was about 100 years old and just sitting on the leg x tension...he never moved. Felt weak on squats and leg press, but I guess Ive been eating waaaay below maintenance for a few weeks, so it's to be expected. No worries...in another week or so I get to add some cals."All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become." Buddha

2/8: Back
Bent Over DB Rows:
10 @ 70
6 @ 80
6 (?) @ 90
5(?) @ 100lbs
WG Lat PD ss w/ straight arm pd:
WG: 3 x 12 @ 70, 80, 90 lbs
SA: 3 x 15 @ 30lbs
CGPD:
3 x 12 @ 70, 80, 90 lbs
Decline abs w/ ball toss (w/the boy)
2 x 20 reps
The boy got the rows on vid, so I'll post it as soon as he sends it to me. I'm sure the form on the 90 and 100 was crap, but I moved them and now I'll work on form. Mental hurdle = overcome.
On my was home I was in a major car wreck. Just cruising along in the far right lane of a 4 lane hwy, when some dumbazz crosses all the way from the left to make his exit, hits me...my car spins 360 a few times and goes into the opposing traffic and finally hits the cement guardrail...totalled. Besides being a bit freaked out...I have a headache, backache and can't hear well out of my right ear....blerg. Hoping my massive traps have saved me from major whiplash...but we shall see. I'll go to the doc in the morning.
@ Zilla...yes, I will be exceeding my macros a little bit to have a glass of wine. Maybe 2."All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become." Buddha

Terrifying! So glad you're ok, so far, I suppose you aren't out of the clear just yet. I can't imagine the thought of losing control of my vehicle like that, that's scary in and of itself. Did the dumbazz at least stop after hitting you?
Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!

Omg, that's freakin' scary! So glad you're okay. You'll probably be shook up for awhile. I've been in a bad car wreck and it's hard to get over the fear.

OMG! I'm so glad you're ok, Kim
Did you have that freaky slow motion feeling when you were spinning? My car was totalled by a car that ran a stop sign and it felt like I was spinning soooo slowly. Good chance you'll feel really sore tomorrow. Take it easy!Caring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.
