As a guy who almost never buys games at release PS+ is amazing, as it has given me top tier gems millions have paid full price for for free.

In all honesty PS+ free games along with the PS+ Collection has more quality games than Xbox GamePass.

Is the Pulse3d legitimately any better than the existing Gold headset? Wondering if I should just continue to use the one I have for PS4 once I get a PS5.

I have gotten 4 PS5s, all for family. It takes a little time but I got to thank Twitter for giving me the heads up. So yeah it ain’t too hard to get one

I have been in PS direct queue I would guess 10 different times, BB a handful, tried Kohl’s, Costco, Newegg (including their lotteries). I’ve been on Twitter the whole time, just haven’t had any luck. I did snag two Xboxes, though.

Doesn't look like my type of game so never paid much attention but didn't it win game of the year at a buncha places? So it must be decent. I could give it a go if we get Raytracing. DualSense, etc like they are saying.

Been a long time since I had Gold's but I don't think they are much better from what I remember. However for a bit more the Arctis 7P is a tremendous upgrade. Only thing that sucks is they don't integrate into the system as well as Sony branded headsets with things like chatmix having to be done through system UI.

Pretty suprised this took so long. I figured they weren't going to do it and just release a remaster instead. Loved GoW but a 60fps patch isn't enough to make me replay it. Was kinda hoping for a remaster with Raytracing and Dualsense along with better performance, that might tempt me.

Imagine not having a ps5. This thread makes me rage like no other.

Lol, on a real though the actual "next Gen" upgrade for me for now isn't the increased resolution or number of particles on screen, or ray tracing, but the fps bump to 60. The very laggy fps of the ps4 is what I want out of my life. The difference in smoothness is what sticks out the most to me in the comparisons.

First ~hour was very good. Gameplay is solid but the story and theming are the strong suit so far.

If a sci fi supernatural Max Payne (same studio) sounds fun I'd check it out. Evidently it's not a very long ride either.

I played about 45 minutes to and hour the other day. I’m intrigued so far. That said, not sure if its the kind of game that will hook me.

Found a list of main quest names on line. I'm halfway thru the list so if they're all the same length (don't know) then I'm ~1/2 thru the main quest line. Combat is more fun once you unlock the various combat skills. Boss fights are ridiculously hard for all the wrong reasons - you keep getting one shot. I wonder if there are tricks to them I just didn't pick up on.

It says 2513 hours for 2020, but my top game is only 132 which is Modern Warfare.


Guessing it also counts hours just on and running something. My top three games only total like 250 hours. But, my PS is all I use for streaming and stuff. Netflix, youtube, hulu, etc.

It must. It says I played P5R for 200 hours but my played time in game was about 100.

What do you think of Sony's current direction of making most of their exclusives go the open world route? Me personally - I'm so burnt out man. It's starting to feel like every sony exclusive is turning into an open world these days.

Days Gone
Ghost of Sushi
Spiderman
Miles Morales

(God of war was broken into zones, something more like a Mass Effect but I'm sure GOW 2 will be bigger (though I hope it sticks to the current structure or perhaps more like TLOU 2).


And whatever next game comes from Sucker Punch and the next mainline (barring Rachet) from Insomniac will undoubtedly by Spiderman 2 so that's another open world. Open worlds are also extremely saturated in the market now, with most AAA games going down this route. The only thing Sony does well is that their games are highly rated and are making a lot of money, but I'm just finding them a slog to go through .... I havnt even finished Days Gone or Ghost of Sushi even though I enjoy them ... I finished Miles on easy and bee-lined the story just to get through it and experience the story.

But I feel like it's time for them to step back a bit and have some more linear structured games or at least after they get through their next crop of games I want them to follow a TLOU 2 style of structure, where the levels are big and dense and not just open world because with open world comes the unnecessary fluff and collectibles to make the game longer and give people things to do.

No problem, when open world is done right. It sucks when it's dragged out, repetitive, level gated BS, you know Ubisoft games. Days Gone is open world done right IMO. However, I look to games like TLoU to show how linear games give a much greater ability to develop characters and tell compelling stories. I surely don't want to see all their titles go open world.

I think many people are burnt out on open world games because they play too many, and too many crap ones. Days Gone is the 8th open world game I have played in the past 10 years and some of those 8 titles like Miles were pretty tight.

Holy hell. Just beat control today. Pretty good game but "that" sequence near the end is one of the most iconic moments in any game I've ever played.

Yeah i went through a spree of Ghost of Sushi > Horizon > Miles Morales > AC Valhalla and getting extremely burned out of open world. I liked FF7 remake BECAUSE it was linear
