Long time coming
So this has been a very long time coming - my apologies to Mech as he deserved it far sooner for the work. A touch of background - I contacted Mech after seeing some of his work pop up on threads on BB and after a very long search to get some quality pieces out to Canada from the U.S. It was some months of back and forth - no one has ever claimed it to be easy to work with me! - but this man holds himself with incredible patience, poise and professionalism. Never a moment of frustration (or piss off! which he would have had every right to say). Emails answered same day if not same hour. A good amount of revisions and new CAD drawings for me. Last minute add ons of certain pieces. And months of deliberation (told you not someone to easily work with). But in the end - what he created for me was a piece of work I'll have to my end of days.
It's nothing creative or out of this world - but it is certainly tried and true and built like a bloody tank. I started with my idea of an RML-6 and we moved on from there. As the pieces were finished, Mech would send me photo updates of them being made - which was awesome.

Long time Coming con't
We did a basic colour scheme (who doesn't love a flat black at least a little?) and after a bit of time - it was set to come out my way.

Long time Coming con't
And finally into the garage. Not much space and I have packed things in there (still missing my CBR in the right side) but it is more than I could have asked for. The thing is a beast and there is absolutely no movement from it at all. It does everything I want it too and more. Here are also some close ups of the pieces and the welds.

Long time Coming con't
Just some final shots of some of the pieces and add-ons.
In the end its a 3x3 7g (Mech hates when I title it guage) with the front porch, front safeties, box safeties, rear storage, strap safeties, dogsled with two weight pins in the middle -high and low bar and two sets of uprights, dumbbell trays, monkey bars, fat bar, not so fat bar and some other items I am sure to have missed!
We had a small hiccup with the delivery as they had hoped that I would be taking the pallet off the truck with a couple of people (it weighed 1200 pds) which we all had a good laugh at - and trying to drive an 18 wheeler up a very small residential cul-de-sac but my experience working with Mech has been golden and if he is open to it, I would like to come back for any and all other pieces I would need.
Cannot recommend his work highly enough.
Thanks again.▪[[────]]▪ York Barbell Club #65 ▪[[────]]▪

Hey snova031 - the weight storage is not currently used no. there are no issues with it - actually quite the opposite. The issues actually were that i found a good deal on that lat pulldown and that GHD which I had not planned on. To accomodate - I had to leave the pins off (for now).
As for the front porch - there can be benefits yes. The prime benefits for me was to have the pull up bar fit under the garage door opener. It's is also quite nice to simply reach up and place my hands where I want simply standing. And for me, its wonderful to use to stretch out. Plus i really like how it looks.▪[[────]]▪ York Barbell Club #65 ▪[[────]]▪

Front porch was originally to have the monkey chinup bar out in front, and lower than the rack. But this rack has like 6 different pullup areas, so he deciced to put a regular one out in front. And btw, I freely admit I stole the idea 100% from Nebula/Rae Crowther. It's a marvelous idea, and I don't know why others don't offer it. So simple.

Thanks, but for the record, I'd much rather work with someone like you than the cheap bastards around here who nickel and dime me for every bolt and nut on a rack. Free paint, free delivery, free installation. 1 week turn around... Always wanting more. So much that I recently told one to piss off, as you would say, and keep his money and just go annoy fitness depot or something.

Looks like you have an awesome set up, how about a bar list, looks like you have a decent collection!
And yes Greg does awesome work, the nice thing is since he is more than just a fabricator, he actually lifts he knows how things should be built, a couple years ago I saw an ad on kijiji for a welding shop that wanted to build custom equipment so I asked them how much for a rackable trap bar, and their response was "whats a rackable trap bar?".[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #67 []---[]

100% on this. He was always willing to give his opinion or feedback but never pushed it either. But knowing he lifted and already had the ins and outs of his own experience was amazing.
The bars are nothing special - some items I was able to scrounge! Cap ob-86 is there, as is a TPB which I was able to find a decent deal on, a Rogue Ohio I received as a gift that I have never used yet (not sure what I will do with it), a vintage york power bar thanks to GarageIron (now just to wait him out for his bare 32004 york!!), a chinese made york curl bar (again thanks to GI) and a squat bar.
So some decent toys to play with. I have been really thinking of a football or swiss bar but we'll see. One day, one day I would love to add an Ivanko.▪[[────]]▪ York Barbell Club #65 ▪[[────]]▪
