I actually enjoy the fact that my old lady doesn't like lifting. This gives me 3-4 hours 3-4 times a week to do my own thing. When I have a garage gym I'm scared she's going to think that means I never need to go out or that she can interrupt my training to have me open a jar or kill a bug.

That's what I did.11 years together.
She actually loves training and is running basically SS right now. She hates working out at the commercial gym. She has some good work for 3 months, 155 squat 3x5, 70 bench, 165 deadlift 3x5
I don't min helping her plus she does the work and doesn't complain.P.T.S. Getting stronger by the day

I can't deny my love of video games, but I don't put all that much time in a game unless it is brand new and I've been looking forward to it.
There goes my life.
D2 caused me to fail the only class I have ever failed.
Sounds like you were pretty nice. I had something similar happen when I lifted at a 24 hour fitness, except the guy was curling with 10's on the bar. I wasn't nearly as nice and I'm surprised it didn't escalate into a fight.
That costume was pretty awesome. I also watched their static shock prank vid and it was really funny.Total's = Jan. 2012 - 1036 @ 198's

01-11-2013, 12:19 PM #2355It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

That's what I was trying to explain to the broscientist claiming overtraining. But I guess that is how the Misc and Sports Misc run. No need to look at weights, intensities, working sets, lifting history, lifting experience, outside stresses, other life priorities. If you are doing more than 9 sets of legs, you are overtraining! He also said that me and the original poster are "2 dudes with no lifting stats". Lol apparently my sig is no lifting stats.

The term overtraining is misused so often. The best working definition would be something like: The chronic inability to recover from a series of training events usually resulting in a long term performance deficit.
Very few lifters actually reach a state of overtraining. A novice lifter isn't capable of recruiting enough motor neurons to disrupt homeostasis for more than a few days.I have no E-stats to post but this is my Journal:
