Ppl are disappointed... not me, though! I play primarily handheld, the screen being OLED is huge, being 7" is less huge but welcome (I hate the bezels). I have a ps4, I have a midrange gaming laptop, I don't need a more powerful Switch. Day one here, I know I am in the minority, but this is all I wanted from a new Switch.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Since I will be mostly playing in docked version, I don't know why I would upgrade.
Nintendo will still have these sell like hot cakes, though.
They profit based on gameplay, not graphics.Queen > Beatles crew
Megadeth > Metallica crew
How the heck is King's X not considered one of the GOATs?!?!??!?!?!

Tennessee Titans crew

it sucks that Nintendo's 2 most out of date, gimmicky consoles sold best (Wii, Switch) so they'll never return to a standard modern console
I grew up with the SNES, N64 and GC and while the latter 2 might have had some flaws at least they were competitive with PS (and Xbox)
now Nintendo is just in a completely different category, and again, I UNDERSTAND FROM A BUSINESS STANDPOINT but it's a shame really (to me)
don't like the way they're going tbh
also mind is blown there are still more quality A+++ titles on WiiU than on Switch (ded srs)+++ miscin' at work crew +++

well the control scheme for Skyward Sword is a lot better than to the Wii version but it's still not good tbh
I understand they did it so you can switch between button control and crappy motion controls when playing with the chitty joycons but I honestly wished they'd made a complete overhaul for button control (f.e. you choose at the start of creating your save file how you want to play and they just map the sword to a single button)
I know it's "important" how you slice your sword but let's be real it's just a gimmick that they could've gotten rid of completely if they just put some more effort into it, for full price this could've been done imo
visually and performance wise it's a big improvement over the original, no complaints there+++ miscin' at work crew +++

On the one hand, to get rid of the directional sword slicing would mean totally changing every enemy in the game including the bosses, but on the other hand for a full price game with no other game development necessary, that's something they could have taken the time to do.
I don't have the Switch version but I believe you can turn off the motion controls and control the sword directional movements with the second joystick. If you haven't played it, I highly suggest it. It gets a lot of hate for its linearity and small world but I don't think its any more linear than other Zelda other than BOTW and I actually like the small world because there's not a whole lot of time wasted to traveling. On the other hand, I think it has the best collection of dungeons of any Zelda, the best and most emotional storyline, and the best music of any Zelda. I hated the Wii motion controls, but other than that I think it's a fantastic game and any Zelda fan is missing out big time by not playing it.Never neg first but always neg back crew

you can play it with the Pro Controller, but the configuration they laid out is just so awkward to me
you use your sword by flicking the R stick and camera movement is also the R stick but you have to hold down the L shoulder button
also your shield action is linked to pushing the L stick down...
srsly this is a control scheme that sucks big time imo, but still better than the motion controls / joycons I suppose
that's what I meant, that they made an option at the start where you have to pick "button control only" or the "switch version" we have now
in the BCO they would've had to overhaul the mechanics for enemies, certain bosses and the gimmicky chit
let's face it, HOW you slice through a rope or whatever should't be an unalterable game mechanic, just work with hit boxes and a standard sword action
that way they could've included a free camera, sword to face buttons and shield to shoulder buttons
I might've actually liked this game then lol, now I'll just bite through I suppose... already rage quit the Wii version 10 years ago lmfao
difficult question....
I picked it up on release, had some fun with it the first week or so but now I'll only gonna play it with friends...
to me it doesn't offer enough in single player to be engaging for a long time
didn't try the online mode yet, I have it but I just prefer local multiplayer for these kind of games+++ miscin' at work crew +++

yeah, I'm already further into the game now then I ever got on Wii and I keep thinking it's such a shame we can't enjoy it with a normal control scheme since it's really a solid Zelda game
but the controls are doable, not enjoyable at all though
I keep drawing my sword when I want to use the camera, years of using double joysticks can't be erased lol
sword fighting "works", but it's just retarded tbh
rolling and the shield are also awkward af (both mapped to pressing L joystick)
also the mechanic to assign an item/weapon makes no sense to me, f.e. the catapult, you always have to select it before you can use it even if it's still in the slot from previous use (or am I doing something wrong, any brahs playing?)+++ miscin' at work crew +++

day 1 for me, Golf Story is one of the GOAT Switch games
I occasionally check for a release date but nothing so far, it's gonna be a pretty big game it seems
dasitmane
I also follow up on Windjammers 2 release date, not in the same league as Golf Story but the original is a lot of fun so looking forward to the sequel, keeps getting delayed+++ miscin' at work crew +++
