Love the 11" MBA, man. Then again, I have way too many Apple products, but I honestly like my 11" MBA over my older 13" MBA and the 13" MBP. I'd been waiting for the newer ones forever, and this is by far my favorite. If it was a tossup between Bull and my MBA, I would pick my MBA. That's how much I like mine.
It's just small, light, and convenient. And it's not "netbook" small, either. I pimped mine out -- it's Intel i7 2GHz, 8 GB DDR, and 256 GB HDD. I really wanted the 512 GB HDD, but they were out of those at the store and I wanted one before a trip. So, I settled for the 256 GB. I may get another one with 512 GB down the road -- maybe after Apple comes out with a newer MBA.
When it comes to usability and sheer integration of hardware + software, Apple has no peer.

Thanks! Can't wait for my AI stack in a week! DAA,Glycobol (which I had awesome results with before), and Massularia (Logging it). May throw some others into the mix too but idk yet.
May do damage control next month. We'll see how I look. I am determined that my abs won't fully disappear. Since I probably should have cut just a little bit longer, I'm trying to be as careful as I can on this thang!~Murray State Crew~

Massularia is a strength supp. Glycobol is primarily a IGF stimulator. I'm constantly on T boosters (low natty levels from things I can't talk about here when I was a kid hint: asthma) because otherwise I'm moody as fuark. I do need to check with John for sure about the Glycobol in it...
Note: When I logged TestPeak I went off preworkout, and was pasically just on Pak, Flex, Creatine, and That's about it.~Murray State Crew~

I prize my usability and consistency of user experience over anything else. I don't have to deal with inconsistent keyboard layouts (even among the same brand, with the exception of ThinkPad, the keyboard layouts are all over the place). And Apple hardware is usually pretty robust. I can't remember how many times I've lost keys on Dell or ThinkPad laptops, or how many chargers have broken down. I've owned Macs since the days of Powerbook, and not once has a key fallen off. Hell, I even ran my motorcycle over the old titanium Powerbook (arguably, over a corner) -- it sill works. It looks messed up, but is functional. And you know something else? I can still send my Powerbook from 2004 to Apple, and they will repair it for me. Dell refused to repair my parents' 2007 laptop because they didn't make that model anymore. The fact that Apple controls both the hardware and the software means that you a guaranteed a certain level of service, if at a price.
The other big advantage is that underneath it all, OSX is *BSD. You can easily switch between a highly usable UI to command shell with no problems, and that makes it pretty badass for development.
In fact, I'm pretty agnostic when it comes to tech, but I like Apple because over the years, they've delivered a consistent customer experience, both hardware and software. I can walk into an Apple store and get my problems addressed. If I get AppleCare, I know that my issues will be fixed. In the past, when I've complained to Apple about issues, I've heard back -- from actual people -- on how to fix them (e.g. I recently complained about how the tap and hold gesture does not work in Lion anymore to the Apple UX team, and they emailed me back with instructions on how to re-enable them).
Give me one company that makes consistent hardware that's reliable and good quality, and I will give them an honest shot. And I don't mean short-term good quality -- I mean good quality over the years. The only company that even comes close is ThinkPad, but even then, they have a crappy plastic shell with keys that pop off and their keyboard layouts are not consistent between the smaller and bigger models. And the form factor -- disgusting.

Dammit. I went back out in the main section and look what happens.
Anyone who plans to "step it up" at some point in the future is going to fail. There is no reason not to "step it up" right this second. Enjoy your excuses and 40" waist.1175 @172

I'll be the first to agree that Apple makes the nicest-looking hardware (and in the case of the MBA, really, really sweet-looking), and quite possibly the most sturdy when it come to laptops. But I've owned and been issued multiple Windows laptops, from various manufacturers, and have never, ever had a key pop off. Not even on my el-cheapo Asus netbook. I mean, I believe you, I see PC's all the time on E-bay missing keys, but what the hell are you doing to them?

Evidently, I'm not as good at working with one hand as I'd like to think I am.
But on a serious note, I travel a lot, so my laptops are always going through airport security, customs, working on them in hotels, lounges, bars, restaurants etc. Eventually, I shove the laptop in wrong into my bag or something catches a key and they fall off. Usually when I'm in a hurry.
A couple of times, it's been caused by my dogs jumping on the keys, too.

>friday night
>no gf
>just put 154 hours into a game, got everything, suddenly life has no meaning
>have a dozen games that need to be played but cannot decide which one
>raining all weekend, plans of hanging out with friend are now crushed
>have 11 pints of ice cream that need eating and already had 3700 cals today
that feel when no gf

>that feel when tired as fug but too busy helping Brad despite failed efforts due to unforeseen events.
Ps; Trying to download and install a program to download something else and then downloading and installing a program to get that something else out of it's original form and then running said thing and installing IT on a guest account is, i'm pretty sure, impossible without intentional viruses.
The only thing I can think of is going with the original plan of finding built in recovery / or making a boot CD.
