Clementine's S'mores - 9/10
A highly anticipated flavor in this order. I've heard great things about it. I admit I am a fan of graham cracker bases over marshmallow bases because most are overly sweet, but I was excited to give this a try. Described as a marshmallow base with s'mores pieces mixed throughout. While I said I prefer graham bases, this marshmallow base was one of a kind. It wasn't overly sweet, it tasted just like a marshmallow, and most impressive was that it had the feel and consistency of an actual marshmallow. See pic below:
Because of the marshmallow consistency, this isn't your normal super dense base, but that's okay because you'll love the marshmallow feel of this pint. Unfortunately, while there are delicious s'more bar pieces in this pint, there weren't quite enough of them to give that true s'mores taste. You can see in the pic that there aren't any to even see.
When prices come down on shipping, this is a flavor that has to be included in your order. Get enough s'mores pieces and you're in for a real treat.New England Patriot

Coolhaus Sundae Funday
I'm disappointed in the base. It is pretty gummy and melts fairly quickly. I would probably put it under Ben & Jerry's in terms of density. Although it is less dense, it still isn't near as airy as you might expect. However, the gumminess is still a little off-putting.
I won't spend much time on the base because it's their usual vanilla bean that they use in majority of their pints. It has that sweet vanilla flavor with a smoky finish from the beans as an aftertaste. I actually think it is good they don't get too fancy with their base because that leaves more room for the mixins to shine.
The chocolate hazelnut butter was actually really good. It isn't on the level of Nutella, but both flavors are easily identified. The chocolate has a sweet milky flavor to it and the hazelnut has a strong rich and nutty finish that stands its own against the chocolate. So in the end, it’s a really good combination.
The texture is almost like a frozen or hardened swirl. It isn't as gooey or runny as a swirl, but does have a little bit of stickiness to it. It comes out in chunks whenever you come across a spoonful. It's actually almost like a soft or slightly melted candy bar that immediately begins melting in your mouth.
The roasted almonds are scattered throughout and chopped up into bits. They have a nice chewy texture to them that is softer than you would expect. I enjoyed the texture a lot because it was a nice contrast to the softer swirl.
The almond flavor is noticeable at times, but also overpowered at times. Basically, when eaten with the vanilla bean base alone, you get a hint of almond flavor, but it's still extremely weak. However, if you get some almonds with a spoonful of chocolate hazelnut butter then it doesn't stand a chance.
If it weren't for the gummy base, this pint would be tremendously better. However, the smoky vanilla bean flavor is a good background for the mixins. It pairs extremely well with the chocolate hazelnut swirl that is thick and full of milk chocolate and rich, nutty flavors. The almonds had a harder chew to them, but unfortunately, were tasteless for the most part. This falls right in the middle of all the Coolhaus pints I've scooped, but is still average at best. B-

Clementine's Vietnamese Cinnamon Apple Pie - 7/10
This one sounded great as I'm a BIG apple pie fan, but it did not deliver. There were 2-3 average sized apple pie pieces on top of the pint, but after that there weren't any to be found. 4/5th of the pint was cinnamon and nothing else.
Ooey Gooey Butter Cake had the "bare minimum" for cake pieces to keep me from being disappointed
S'mores had barely any s'mores pieces which was very disappointing
This pint had barely any apple pie pieces which was very disappointing
50% of my pints were low on mix ins. Very sad. I have dug around in the other pints and will say that it appears there are plenty of mix ins in each.Last edited by Tyler2106; 01-07-2018 at 03:13 PM.

It is "rough" but it's the truth. For that much money I expect them to be have enough mix ins. I will say that if you get sufficient mix ins you're in for quite a treat. It's high quality ice cream...just missing mix ins
How is it only $85 shipped?!?New England Patriot

Totally agree. I did ask her about mix in quantity issues and she said it's rarely an issue, but sometimes it happens. I do think she makes a quality of ice cream that should be enjoyed nationwide, but it's probably more risky than most are willing to take.
Yeah, 5 pints shipped to my location and it's usually in the $110 range. I'd love it to be $85 shippedNew England Patriot

I'm not sure. She has 4 scoop shops that all sell pints and she's in a few specialty stores that sell them as well. Her company seems to be doing extremely well in St Louis, so maybe I'm just getting those rare instances. I know a few other people who ordered at the same time I did that had very few mix ins. I did see a pint of s'mores that was loaded whereas mine was not...
ugasar will be digging into his order this week I think. Interested to see how his mix in density is.New England Patriot

I'm definitely no connoisseur, so for me $85 is a crazy splurge
This was a special situation though because in my opinion S&S makes THE best vegan ice cream (I don't eat regular ice cream) and the fact that they have ALL vegan january flavors this time just couldn't be ignored.
Depending on the results, I'll probably make 1-2 more orders of them."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

You are right, first pint later this week! I will be scooping from what I think will be least like to most liked according to my preferences and taste buds.. So the S'mores may be on the back burner for a while.. I think this is my scooping order as of right now:
1) Cinnamon Apple Pie
2) Bourbon Kentucky Pie
3) Italian Butter Cookie
4) Gingerbread Love
5) Gooey Pumpkin Caramel Pecan
6) S'mores
This is also very true!!! Will the magical luck continue?!?!? hahahaI.C.E.D.

Wow shipping is fast... my s&s shipped today and gets here tomorrow.
I’m really, really hoping UPS doesn’t fukk me over with this tho... they have a weird issue reading my delivery instructions and getting into my gate for my townhome... they’ve ‘missed’ delivery times many many times already even when I’m at home and able to hear any knocking or doorbell."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

I did contact her and I know other have as well. Nothing happened of it. And just because I didn't post pictures doesn't make my reviews any less true.
Clementine's Gooey PCP - 8.5/10
As ugasar mentioned above this is a pumpkin ice cream base with pieces of gooey pumpkin caramel pecan cake pieces. The pumpkin base is very tasty and definitely super premium quality. Tamara said her batch freezers are set to 26-28% over run and you can definitely tell there isn't much air pumped into this base. It's a very natural tasting pumpkin and if I had to guess they roasted and puree their own pumpkins. It's not overly sweet like some pumpkin bases are. It's lightly spiced, but that's okay because the cake pieces are spiced nicely and add plenty of depth and flavor to this pint. As mentioned above, I didn't notice a caramel pecan flavor in the cake pieces even when scooping just the pieces out. I tasted just ooey gooey pumpkin cake pieces that were dense and spiced nicely with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a few other spices.
This pumpkin flavor is one of my favorite pumpkin ice creams that I've had. If the caramel pecan flavoring would have been more pronounced, I would have rated this one higher. Overall, still a very good pint. Sorry for no pictures, but I promise I am not making up my reviewsLast edited by Tyler2106; 01-09-2018 at 08:12 AM.
