i didnt think it was that expensive, i went to Target and got a regular backpack and it cost me 30 bucks, ****ing zippers broke when zipping up gym clothes

looking at this thread again just got me to get one of those backpacks, the one in the pic is 80 bucks now, their new model is $100.

Might be a bit worth it for me to drop the money since i commute on a motorcycle to i'd like something decent to keep my chit in

#1 - Amazon Prime. I'm using the shipping & instant video options. I don't use the video options a whole lot, but I don't have TV service at home so it does make itself useful augmenting Hulu/Netflix/YT. This has been fantastic for me in the last 1.5 years I've had it. I pay $99 for free 2-day shipping on nearly everything I buy on Amazon... I've spent probably $15,000-$20,000 on Amazon during that time period, so the money and time I've saved on shipping has been huge. I buy toilet paper, cat food, cat litter, a lot of firearm accessories, and basically anything I can. I also got offered an Amazon/Chase CC (cash rewards!) so I took them up on the offer because they gave me $100 credit... so basically I got 1 year of Amazon prime for free. I can't stress how much this has made my life better. If you don't have this, you should seriously look into it.

#2 - Ordering groceries and having them delivered. I use to scoff at this until Amazon prime and realizing the convenience of having stuff delivered to your doorstep. I've had groceries delivered to the house at least a dozen times for free because Safeway keeps sending me free-delivery coupons and they do not allow their drivers to get tips. I don't have to spend 1-2 hours a week shopping -- between this and Amazon prime, everything I need gets delivered to my doorstep at no additional cost. I save time AND money.

#3 - Cash rewards credit card(s). Not really a purchase so much as sign up and it's an investment. All credit cards I own are now cash rewards, although I use my BOA one the most. I use the BOA one because it's 1%/2%/3% (all purchases/groceries/gas) and if you have the rewards deposited into a BOA account you get an extra 10%. In 2014 I paid $0 interest on credit cards. I live off of them (see: buy EVERYTHING with them) and pay them off daily. As a result, I earned ~$600 cash back from my cards. Essentially, I was paid $50 a month to live off of credit cards without having to pay any interest, any fees, or anything. This, coupled with the previous two, has been a great investment/purchase for my life and has even returned some monetary rewards.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

#4 - Beard oil, beard comb, beard gel (beard kit, basically). I have a beard that's ~2" in length and I don't like it when it feels rough and "hard." The beard comb, beard soap and beard oil I bought have been great for my facial hair. It certainly has improved my life, even though it hasn't drastically changed it. If you have a beard and don't use products like this, start. If you want to grow your beard out further but don't because of how it looks/feels when it gets longer, try utilizing these options. BeardBaron on youtube is a good informational spot to go.

#5 - A truck. a 1997 4X4 Z71 from my brother in law, traded my 98 Z28 for it (which he later wrecked and totaled). Having a truck makes life so much easier when moving or traveling. I spent $500 in u-hauls in 2013/2014 because of not having one. Great investment thus far.

    http://www.amazon.com/Avalon-Bay-AB-...ds=ice+machine

#6 - An ice machine. I live in the sticks with a private well, so the water has a lot of minerals and what not (not good for drinking) so the ice from the freezer is not good for consumption either. Instead of buying ice every 2-3 days, this thing allows me to dump some drinking water in it and in a couple of hours I have an entire bag of ice. I can shut it off to cut down on electricity, or I can leave it running and it recycles the ice it made and uses the water again to make ice. It works really good.

Now that I've been ITT, I've added $775 worth of chit to my Amazon. I need to start deciding when I'm going to buy everything lol. A tongue cleaner, teeth whiteners, a new toothbrush, a GF grill, maybe a blender, whole crap load of stuff.
Beard oil is a ****ing hilarious rip off.

Go buy grapeseed oil or another base oil commonly used, which will give you like 30x the amount, for half the price of those stupid little ones.

You don't need a dropper, pour a little in hands, rub in hands, apply to beard.

The base oil is all you need, the other **** is just fragrance oil.

My hyrdoflask came in on Monday, ****ing hnnnnnnnnnnngggg.

Next step is to get 5 gallon glass jugs, go to the natural spring nearby and be drinking dat dere perfect h20.

4 month backpacking trip to Australia and Southeast Asia.
At that time of my life I was an introvert person, and going on this trip meeting new people and experiencing different cultures all the time had a huge impact on my personal development. It made me more outgoing and not to mention all the experiences I had improved my well being. Definitely not the last time I'm going on a longer backpack trip, next time I'd like to go to South America.

Thermomix cooks, chops, weighs, crushes, emulsifies, whips, mixes, steams, blends, kneads, grinds, simmers, grates, mills, and practically cleans itself.

Its like the ultimate Kitchen gadget but I dont even think you can buy them in the U.S. People have been known to go to France to buy one then bring it back with them.

no idea mate, I have the impression that if its available for masses in major Asian cities it should be easily available in other mature markets.

Everyone keeps saying "they are available" but cant tell me where.

The Thermomix website clearly sais they arent available in the U.S. As far as I know the only way to get one is buy a used one from someone already here, or have one brought from out-of-country.

maybe for whatever reason they arent sold in the US... tbh if I were you and I was completely crazy about getting one, I'd just buy a used one because I've had mine over 7+ years and it still works and looks the same as the day i got it.
