How much wall space do you have?
I used to have this DIY solution, and would just add boards/pvc at different heights to hold different specialty bars.

Something like this might work for a few bars if you have a 3-post rack and don't need to walk through:

The first idea linked would probably be my best bet, I'll have to see tonight if I have any good places to build something like that. Having only a 10x12' space with two doors and a window plus all my equipment makes usable wall space hard to find. (Wife says no more bars for this reason and right now I'd have to agree but I've got 10 of them.)
I have a half rack and have tried storing bars in between the uprights but it was a pain to get them out and we switch bars often during a workout.[M]===[6] Mech6 Crew #33 [M]===[6]

Thanks, myHammer leg press is not to everyone's liking, but I like the movement and it's kind to my ageing knees.
I was lucky to pick this one up from a private seller in immaculate condition, but I had to pay £1,100 to secure it.
The Watson Animal leg is the best 45 press that I've tried, but any linear style press just seems to irritate my knees.

Got sick of bare bulb lights in the basement. Picked up some LED shop lights. Wired them on to a switch, and now I can see all the chalk on my stall mats. Win some, lose some. I still have to get some more and wire up the rest of this part of the basement. I also have the urge to throw some paint on the walls, since it's lost some of its dungeon appeal now.

The longer I have had a home gym, the less enamored I have become with big commercial racks. The Dynamic rack was around 60" deep, which I do not consider to be small. From a safety standpoint I don't find half racks to be ideal for home gym use, and throw in 4" adjustments, a cramped gym space, and already owning a 3/4 rack, and it wasn't a hard decision. Getting an immediate offer at my top price the first day I posted didn't hurt, either.
I will likely end up for a simple R3 or similar as a second rack.

I take it you're keeping the 3/4 rack though? We've discussed this before - those things are fantastic, I just wish they were smaller length wise. I believe the York is 79 inches long. I've been looking at the Dynamic Fitness Ultra Pro Racks. They have the slotted safeties like commercial racks, but the hole spacing is only 2 inches. They are also 60 inches long, which is longer for a half rack, but still knocks off 18-19 inches from my 3/4 rack. Going with a Legend half rack would save me even more additional room, and money. I don't think I'm close to making a decision, but I'm prioritizing floor space more and more.

The depth of the entire rack was a big reason i went with Legend. I wanted a full rack, plate storage but not something exceptionally long. That fit the bill perfectly for being a six post but a smaller footprint than many. It was under 62" in total depth whereas the Rogue RML-690 was 76"
{5'7" and under #1}

RML 690 owner here...unnecessarily big. Luckily I have room for it. Was going to do Legend but would have had to get all new attachments and Mech had just stopped producing monos. 690 was the call.
I also have spotter arms for use out the front when we are running multiple people and no one is doing OLs. One thing that's nice is that the extra size allows you to slip through the sides of the plate storage whether to spot or access the inside if you have extra people on it.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

First post. After a year of bow flex dumbbells, a rogue adjustable bench 2.0, a door mounted pull-up POS, and Beachbody workouts (p90x, body beast, a week of hard labor).....I finally saved enough to get the setup I wanted.
Thanks to everyone here who has provided information, reviews, and photos. And thanks to garagegymreciews, garage-gyms, and garage gym lab. As well as all of the you tubers.
Rogue RML-390C 30in dark blue, skinny pull-up bar, crossmember, straps, land mine, matador, safety spotter arms
Rogue Ohio Power Bar
Rep fitness basic bar to live in landmine
Rep fitness plate tree
350lbs HG bumpers
Iron change plates
HG Collars
Rogue farmers walk handles and axle collars
Rogue adjustable bench 2.0
Land mine t bar and single handles
Genesis DL jack
Bow flex adjustable dumbbells
TSC stall mats
Big blue party Bluetooth speaker
So far I’m loving all of it. I initially regretted the safety spotter arms, but they are perfect for the overhead press.
Next will be five more stall mats, iron plates, another plate tree, a deadlift bar, and a curl bar.
Oh and a PSA. Don’t over tighten the bolts. As you can see it will bend the uprights. Not my smartest moment.

Super strong first post. Great job getting all of that equipment. Pics embedded for you, reps too. I got tired of the stall mat seam so I bought a good piece of plywood with a veneer, sanded it down, and polyurethaned it. Looks like you are bolted down but would be easy to do, unless you want to go full platform.
What I’m talking about. Need some more stall mats too.
I quote with pics. ()---() York Barbell Club #78 (DD) ()---()

Thanks man. Great setup. I’m teaching my dog to do the same thing. Right now he’s pissed that I’m not opening the garage door.
The seams bug me. If I ever move the rack I will do what you did. I plan on lining up the mats and secure with tapcon screws and spacers. Idea from Garage-Gyms website. Will eventually build a deadlift platform next to the rack.

Apologies in advance, but this post is NOTHING like the usual posts on this thread. No beautiful space or racks, but I thought I'd show you a unique and cheap home-grown safety solution. (About a year ago I started getting more serious about working out at home. After failing to complete a bench press, though, I ended up with a barbell on my neck, so I am extremely lucky to still be here. I resolved never to be in that situation again.)
I decided to use chains as a safety system for bench press. The length of the chain is set about half an inch below touch, so if I get in trouble I can slide out under it. The elastic cords keep the links headed upward from the bar to keep the lift smoother and quieter.
Then I decided that I could also use it for squats, which I never used to do at home. Not as good as a real squat rack, since the bar starting position is at the bottom of the lift instead of the top of the lift, but hey, it's a technique, and I'm finally doing squats at home. Here's a picture with the bar hanging at the bottom of my squat setting, before I move the bench out of the way.
Then I got tired of fussing with the "quick links" that needed a wrench to tighten and loosen, so I replaced them with "grab hooks" for instant length adjustments.
And hey, as long as I had the framework up there, I added a pulley.
Elsewhere in the basement, I have a powerlifting bar for deadlifts, an e-z curl bar, and dumbbells. I am working on getting more space cleared out and organized. I also plan to buy an incline/decline bench and a real rack.
Again, apologies for posting ugly pictures on this usually bright and shiny thread.

At age 64, I've exceeded all my prior PRs. Not “over the hill” yet. :)
