Yeah mexicake kinda sucked IMO. way too much cinnamon, super thin. Never tried the variants though.
Hunny puss is awesome. King of that style. Prairie bomb is good too. Abraxas has usually sucked for me, but I just had a good one a couple weeks back and it was in the huna ballpark - that one's a gambleCommon Sense Crew

So anyway, did a trade with some hoe on FB. She lives a two-day transit away. The day I sent it, I gave her tracking ASAP and she saw the message and never commented. It's now a fully 24hrs since the box has been delivered and still no message so I had to ask if it was okay. Not too long after, she hits me up with a big long story about why should didn't ship out the box to me yet, despite saying she'd do it Tue before work, and also hasn't received what I sent.

Not bad. Very light and tropical IPA (only 5.7%). I liked it, but last year's was better imo.
Never had or heard of pFriem.
Also, why did they collaborate with Georgetown? I'm so sick of Manny's and it's at every single restaurant and bar, even for growler fills. Even Lucille IPA is starting to be at everywhere.
Only picked up a single because I'm not the biggest Sam Adams fan and this one is gross. Possibly the worst session IPA I've had. I've never liked any Sam Adams IPA's.

Meanwhile, I heard Sour Monkey is awesome; I have a bottle Imma rip up tomorrow. We'll see.
3way was awesome a year or so ago.
You'll be fukkin fat girls in no time.
Meanwhile, was at a brewery today. Some dude who looks familiar sits down next to me; faces me for like five mins while I pretend not to see him out of the corner of my eye. I realize who it is; some homer local who homebrews and people suck his dick because he wins national awards for his kolsch or lager or some turd style that spak loves. He eventually says "hey man, aren't you that dude from the internet." I was like:
Talking ensued.
Five minutes later, I was like...

AZ Wilderness opened a new taproom yesterday right next to their brew-pub, almost entirely wilds/BA stuff there and it is all stellar - Red Wine BA English Barleywine, Red Wine BA Braggot, Tequila BA Sweet Potato Saison, English Oak BA Wit w/ Brett, and a fantastically balanced and delicious RIS.
Was there right when they opened for me and two other people, hung out for a little over two hours and by the time Swingbro came by it was hoppin.Eat Less, Exercise More, Repeat Forever

So manny's and all that sucks ass, but it does what it's supposed to. It's a crowd-pleasing beer for sports fans at sports bars, or college homers that know nothing of beer. Like a Mac n Jacks.
Having said that, Georgetown's Lucille has been improving quite a bit, and their Johnny Utah pale and Lovely Reida are fukking AMAZING.
pFriem is ok. The saison is pretty tits if you like that style, the IPA was super peppery/piney to me. Haven't tried the others, but bottles are seeing tons of distro now.
Yeah, the 3way collab with Boneyard and Block15 is gunna be tough to follow lol
lol. fuk em.
oh on the yeast thing - yeah, we see full attenuation by like 7-8 days. Technically, I could call it good there, dry hop for 5, then cold crash/carb and be good in a couple weeks...but for some reason the beer still tastes "green" as fuk to me.
I feel like the malt profile is just... "better" with a week or two extra to mature.
(which is also probably a terrible commercial approach if we go that route lol)Common Sense Crew

Headed to Destin next month and making a day stop in New Orleans. I'm hitting up a beer store called Steins and they are reportedly to have Loons and 3F and Drie Font. in stock. Are they worth buying and busting my Loon cherry? What you *******s say?

well its certainly normal to need a couple days to condition once fermentation is complete. i dunno brah. you might consider fining agents, i feel like they speed conditioning up quite a bit by dropping all the "crap" out
I just got done weighing out my grist for nelson/citra IPA i'm brewing tomorrow. trying to figure out how to manage a whirpool AND using my hop back. might get trickybmbc

Really bad lighting pops.
Regarding that bar with loonz, there is one and I know a guy who works there every year for Mardi gras, forgot the name but can let you know asap. However that bar has doesn't always have it on tap and I'm sure everyone within a 500mi radius will know about it when it goes on.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman
