Yeah its crazy. Last I saw was a woman had to make over $38k per year for it to even out with the costs of daycare, meals, housecleaning etc. unless she just wants to get out of the house.

It's sad, but it also shows why Christmas is so awesome, especially for young kids. It's that bit of magic that's missing most of the time. This 'fake' Santa made this little boy's last moments so happy.

^I still don't understand why companies do this. Thing is, I get they're illegal. And I know that they're trying to get the uninitiated to buy their products. But wouldn't it just make sense to have honest policies, and let people decide for themselves whether or not they need something...? You know, as opposed to "creating" a false need? I mean, people will spend money for a year or two but then find out the truth. And then they'll never buy from that company again.

Doesn't make sense to me. The whole industry is up on it's head in a lot of ways. I have well more than a dozen ways to revitalize that industry without lying to clients. Damn.

we haven't gotten the kid in daycare yet, though we probably need to. we've been spoiled because my MIL has spent about 5 months of the last 14 with us, but my wife has been picking up more responsibilities at work and the MIL has gone back to hong kong...

ps. I wouldn't be surprised if he used some special supplements to get to the before picture too. Being that lean while retaining size is damn hard.
