Despite Kai not being there this is the best competition we've seen in a long time.

I missed the stream this year. Missing everything these days, too busy at work. Will wait to watch a replay before having an opinion. Sounds like it was close which is excellent for this sport and if this is the case hope the judging reflects it.

With that logic, lower body should hold a fair amount of weight in judging criteria, which Shawn convincingly beat Phil on as in all aspects

disagreed. He won quads. Phil won hams and glutes.

And no, it doesn't work with that logic. I guess when you get more experience in watching shows you'll see that impressive arms, chest thickness and ESPECIALLY back poses are the most important muscle groups in the Olympia.

Kai being out definitely opened things up for people to really see Wolf/Rhoden against phil, which I'm greatful for. Though kai seemed to be ramping up to something great and I'm super disappointed we didn't get to see him battle with the rest tonight.

Yeah it actually angers me. We see so many pics of amazing physiques on this board from random dudes around the world and yet that guy shows up on the biggest stage in the world looking like utter garbage.

Wolf and Rhoden are both approx. even with Phil, but both possess different strengths.

I can see Wolf place over Rhoden.

The only poses I see Rhoden dominating: FLS, FDB, AB&Thigh

In the side poses, Rhoden does not possess the thickness necessary in the upper body to match Phil, nor the detail.
In the back poses, Rhoden does not possess the thickness, or shape, necessary in his back to match Phil, nor the detail.
The MM is "eh", it could go either way, but Phil's HC edges Rhoden's.

In the side poses, Wolf's upperbody doesn't possess the detail necessary to match Phil (bicep/tricep/shoulders).

That's the "tricky" thing with Wolf...he's much bigger and larger than Phil, but Phil possess better shape, but not better conditioning, except in the glutes/hamstrings.

I see it as being much closer between Wolf and Phil.

I can see Wolf winning, as well as Phil winning, based on the stream.

Most separated I've seen Rhoden's arms. That makes a huge difference in the way each shot flows.
