the guide amazonbrah is pushing really is a waste even for a dollar.
the only thing people should be paying for is "HERE IS HOW TO SOURCE PRODUCTS"
everything else you learn within the first 1-2 weeks of selling on amazon.
the sourcing section of the guide is all about how to walk around retail stores and spot items and then use the authors app to scan them.. which costs money per month.
unfortunate, but i guess what do you expect from a course normally priced at $199 selling for $1. it's basically the josef rakich meal plan of amazon guides
edit: to be clear though, as far as i know amazonbrah has nothing to gain for advertising it so maybe it legit helped himMeet Lifts/Gym Lifts

just got my brand approved in the registry. a tip for you guys getting in to PL: don't wait to register your brand. recently i had a product get sabotaged by another seller. they put the most popular variation in a category that i'm not ungated in, it made the listing inactive, and i lost sales momentum. it took multiple calls to seller support to sort it out. pita.
to register you need:
-a brand website
-photos of brand name/logo on both packaging and item
-in the company description you should tell them you own your UPCs and that you don't reuse them. this should get your application through in one shot (it took me a few emails back and forth. this should also be the truth, i bought 500 UPCs on ebay for like 10 or 15 bucks.)
there's a few vids on PL at the end of that course.
super simplified strategy:
-choose product
-get samples from mfr
-test samples (i sell mine on ebay)
-negotiate with mfr, design logo and packaging, decide how they will be labeled (silk screened, printed, laser engraved etc)
-place a minimum qty order
-send to fba
-market (giveaways, blog posts, az sponsored listings, zonblast, whatever)Last edited by playsintrafficc; 09-29-2015 at 11:24 AM.

I'm a member of Scanner Monkey, and Scan Power. Scan Power is free. Scanner Monkey costs money. Scanner Monkey was helpful, but now that I know more, it's the same questions being asked over and over. I don't go on the fb groups anymore because how fb is setup prevents meaningful discussion. I'm just not interested in trying to read with 3/4ths of the window covered in ads and junk.
I'm a big fan of Profit Bandit for retail arb. I also use inventory lab and tax jar.
It scales really well. Amazon provides an infinite amount of warehouse space, customer service, and shipping at marginal cost. You can go from shipping a box a month to tractor trailers a day.
I've had no problem scaling RA to the point where I'm looking to PL. I'm setting myself up for Q4 and then will be looking to start private labeling in March '16. I have the advantage of being by a large metro area and have the ability to travel and do RA on the road. If you don't live by a large metro area, RA is going to be difficult to do successfully.
That's not profit. That's his payment from Amazon which doesn't take into account cost of goods sold as well as some other costs.

Question..
Are you guys shipping your goods to Amazon for fulfillment?
Problem is, I'd rather ship in-house, faster/cheaper + easier inventory management for me.
But not sure much that will affect sales starting out?Misc, Thank you for all the support!! Honey Bramble | https://honeybramble.com/

hard to say, spent a good bit of time setting up the fba prep, building spreadsheets etc. also had to cancel some orders, one product came up with a "hazardous" warning once i got to creating shipments and couldnt be sent in to fba. i guess the lesson is add your products before you buy them. but, time spent searching for leads: 0
