Thank you. The key to multiple RM PR is to keep ATTACKING. In other words, resting in between reps is highly discouraged. It's like go, go, go. Resting in between reps is counterproductive.
You're doing great yourself. Congrats on the PR. I can't believe you're 51. Not that it's old. You look great is what I'm trying to say. This above all..
To thine ownself be true..
And it must follow, as the night the day..
Thou can'st not then be false to any man..

Started a new/completely different program this week. Low weights/high reps/different splits and groupings of exercises done on different days, etc. i.e. all stuff I have never done/tried before. So I wanted to get a true "before" shot. We'll see where the program and sticking to my diet (like I have been) takes me by the end of the summer. Thanks to all here for all the past advice/support. 226 pounds in this pic taken on 6/16/2015.

Well I dropped 16 pounds in about 7 weeks when I started my cut, but it really has come to a grind the last 4 weeks with only a cumulative 2 additional pounds lost. Originally I was thinking 210-215, but unless this new workout routine kicks things up a notch--I'm not sure that body weight goal is realistic.

Three weeks out progress pics. Feeling like I've improved over last contest prep. Guess we'll find out.
Weight in the pics was 214# taken at 7 pm last night right before cardio. Very low on carbs, but managed a decent pump. No leg shots as I wasn't dressed for it, but they're coming in nicely.....for twigs.

Everyone in here is absolutely killing it as always.
Been on a modest surplus now for 18 weeks and averaged 0.44lb gain per week, so up 8lbs and still lean enough I think to keep on with a surplus. Started at 149lbs after a lengthy diet now 157lbs. Plus my strength is on the up. Definitely put on some fat though, but it will be easy to cut back this time round.

I got a "flexie stick."
"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." AJ....it is not the easiest course, but I have found leaning out well worth the effort. You have lots of quality mass and a cut would make you look twice as big.
Busta....NICE! Wow man, looking great. I remember your last comp pics really fired me up to lean out. Thanks and looking awesome.
As for me...Same old. Still holding the course. Slooooowly leaning out still, but added back about 150g of carbs on my 4 workout day now too. Weight jumped up about 5lbs and sitting in the low 2's right now and still leaning out slow. Still no counting cals....just eating by what I know I need. Spending over 2 years tracking EVERYTHING really pays off in the long run. As afraid as I was that I would not know how to eat when I stopped tracking, it has been far from the case. While not as productive as actually tracking, for my purposes (a balanced life that is not too high maintenance) it is working well.
Also experimenting with more blood occlusion training. Boy....that sh!t hurts!!!

Never know....just not something that holds much interest for me right now. Thanks though!
I am trying to look like Vytis! Dont underestimate it.....that HURTS! I have been rotating it in on arms and legs to see if there is an impact on training. Working out at home has it's advantages so you dont look so damn crazy!RAW lifts

Thanks, Mark, I appreciate it!
Thanks buddy!
Thanks man! I'm glad I could fire you up. You look like a top 5 at ANY local show to me. Maybe one day; we'll all be waiting so we can say we told you so.
Thanks Vytis. I started at 224-226 somewhere. I rarely go more than 10-15# over stage weight. My morning weight is much lower than 214, but every day is different. I don't use the scale much during prep--it's almost totally useless as it's all over the place. Also, I always recomp during prep because I'm so terrible at managing a "bulk". If I'm not rigid with myself, I tend to spiral and not make progress.

Busta, I think you look better than ever, since I started perusing these forums. I guess that's the whole point of doing this, huh? Looking forward to seeing updated pics as you get closer and closer to the contest.
DSUP, always with the impressive biceps. Good shot.
brit-iron, very lean. Keep it up.
rimduglep, good work, keep on going.
adjdahl, HUGE! Good luck with the cut, and post pics at the end of summer.
ID, give it up. This bodybuilding thing just isn't working out for you.
About 2 weeks ago I posted my 340 lb deadlift PR. Yesterday I went for 345. Failed.
