Hey what kind of shoes do you have? I had some real nice asics Cael Sanderson's but I'm too big for them now, so I just wrestle with these crappy asics split seconds. I really want to get some Dan Gable Ultimates, though. Or Adidas Combat Speeds, those are SICK.

Currently 9-0. Tomorrow I wrestle a kid who took 4th in the state....yay. (Spladle, crabridestack, cement job ftw?)
I wrestle really funky. Low inside singles from across the mat, headlocks, fireman dumps, crossbody cradles, etc. I don't like doubles but I do like single leg navy turks. For how good I am, well this one kid ranked 10th in the state at 135, I was wreckin him decent 5-3, pure dominant control. Last 10 seconds he got a really lucky throw. I had him though. Right now i'd consider myself top 15-10 in the state @ 135 though.★★SoFlo Crew★★

I'm not having the best start to this season, lost to some kids I should beat. I'm starting to practice better, so I should be in good shape for my next tournament. Which is in about a week. My State only does the Top 6 rankings for individuals, I'm not ranked currently due to my lack of performance so far. I worked out with the No. 2 kid over the summer, so I kinda have a realistic view of how I stack up.
I'll try to post some vids from my next tournament though.

Had to bump up and wrestle 171 tonight thanks to my lazy ass team mate. Went against the #5 kid in the state and lost 10-4. I was greatly towered by the kid but it was good experience going up against him. Hopefully I can get a rematch later in the season.
52 weeks...make 'em count
Times will get tough.
Get up again

Thats not the best attitude to have. You have to walk o0n the mat knowing your gonna demolish whoever it is. Hell, I remember walking on the mat going against the guy that took 5 th in states. Everyone expected me to lose but, I ended up tech falling him so take it for what it's worth. Are you ranked in the state?

My son started this year, he's a Freshman and he's 3 weeks into practice/tournaments/training.
His very first match he pulled off a pin and has had a couple after that where he got pinned. The last match he was winning by points against a kid that had 3 years experience but his hand got caught in his singlet and he got pinned
He's been in Tae Kwon Do for about 5 years now and is a BB so wrestling will only add to his skills. He's pretty quick at 115lbs and started weight training with me last year. Here's a couple of pics:
Props to all of you that are puttin in work!!

terrible weekend. im 8-2 now. i didnt even place at my county tournament.
i went into this tournament 6-0, won 2 easily and then got a tough kid and lost. first loss of the season so it really got to me mentally and then i lost to a kid who i pinned in 1:40 at last week's tournament. i was just not really into this second match
i hope i can learn to take losses better cuz after my 2nd loss i considered quitting until i went to sleep and got my **** together

I only did 1 match in 2 meets since apparently schools don't have many JV-189 guys to match me up against
Pinned a much weaker/fatter kid
It feels good to win sure, but when it's so easy it def takes away from the feeling.
2-1 overallPRs
Squat -- 455
Bench -- 290
Deadlift -- 565
Overhead -- 185x3
Power Clean -- 250

It helps you prepare better for the next tournament. Use it as motivation, work to improve on the things that lost you the match whether it's mental or physical. A true champion can come back from a loss. Don't be discouraged, don't let it hurt your feelings. Kyle Dake, takes every loss personally, he uses it as fuel to the fire, he doesn't think about quitting. Coming back from losing is more mental. Here's an example that happened today, this freshman who has never wrestled before made it to the finals and got pinned. He was pissed, he threw the silver medal to the other end of the lockerroom. He wasn't satisfied with 2nd best, but he isn't gonna quit. He's gonna work even harder for the next one.
I had this weekend off, I had to help/coach at the freshman tournament. We only had 6 freshman lol. Three got 2nd, then one got 3rd and another got 4th. Next week is big for me, I'm coming off a tournament where I didn't place and I don't plan on losing in this one.
