That was my biggest fear that it would appraise well below asking price. Because I only had enough cash to cover if it appraised for listing price. I offered 12k over on an already over priced home. But we got lucky and it appraised for 6k over listing.

I think the only reason ours missed the mark so to speak is because the appraiser wasn’t really familiar with this type of build and it’s architectural significance, so it’s near impossible to do a true comp survey. We’ll see what the lender says on Monday.
