Catching up on MFC... Good to see new members (even if it sounds like they have no idea what they're doing). Also good to see Ike actually shooting.
You guys following this Obama admin police state crap? Pretty sure Trump is going in dry at this point.
And Levin isn't exactly a Trump fan.

Just got my tripod set up - Feisol 3342, RRS BH-55 LR SOAR, and an RRS QD plate for my AT . Haven't shot with it yet, but after a drying firing with it a couple nights I'm so excited... set up is rock solid.

lol I came in post how I'm lazily watching this PBS special on Amazon Prime:
https://youtu.be/LkZNgV-Mqoo
6 episodes, each 2 hours long, 2nd best thing to getting out there. The Cascades saw another 3 feet of snow this weekend. I could go out to the Olympics but I like saving those trips for overnights.
So far I've learned from watching
-ep 1: John Muir was a genius but a farking loon as well. Ran straight at a bear to "view the experience as a bear would run." The bear didn't run but raised up, he later referred to it as his "interview with the bear."
-ep 2: Teddy Roosevelt didn't trust people who wouldn't hunt, often remarked those who wouldn't hunt quadrupeds should not be allowed citizenship.
I joked with staff that the only unbelievable scene for me was that lil 150lb Andrew Garfield was able to drag 250lb Vince Vaughn by draping a blanket over his rifle. Clearly that took 3 wire work teams to move Vaughn's butterball butt.
Man, I still haven't seen the NES mini for it's original list. People charging $300 plus, might as well buy a Switch instead.MFC

That has a moa turrets and mil reticle. Don't buy that. Pretty basic thing to check on every scope is whether the unit of measure on the turrets match the reticle (you want them to match). And it's just a low end vortex.
For a little more money, you can get a solid FFP scope. I'm on my phone so I don't have the link, but Natchez is blowing out Weaver 3-15 tacticals for $500 or so.

Found it. It says super slam in the title, but it's their tactical line.

The corresponding scope at Midway so you can see just how good of a deal it is at Natchez:

From someone who had both a 4-16x HS-T and a 3-15x weaver tactical, the weaver has much better glass. I'm still not sold on the vortex line of scopes other than the razors. My current weaver tactical 3-10x is comparable if not better than my H-ST at 1/2 the price.
Pros for weaver:
excellent clarity and brightness
big fov
repeatable tracking
Cons:
heavy
turrets had some slop to them
Pros for vortex:
good turrets with good tracking
lighter in weight
zero stop shims
Cons:
less fov
eye relief was less forgiving

Purchased this light on Amazon 4 years ago for about 30-40 bucks. It has been on my g21 since I got it, and I've taken it to the range a few times and shot with it on the gun probably 2-300 rounds. Still works pretty well surprisingly, and as a bonus it fits every other handgun I've put it on including the SIG which is a sign rail not a 1913
Mostly mention this cause it looks cool on this p-01

Was goingto buy an aliengear VP9 w/ TLR-1 shell, came to realization that such a thing does not exist. Look at Stealthgear. Need one for a G19? No Prob. VP9? Go F yourself.
