Blows my phucking mind that anyone who knows anything about football can watch last year's tape of JA and think he's not just about done playing in the NFL. $8m per year for 4 years? lol.
On the bright side, it's really a two year $15.5m contact as the last two years are not guaranteed.
However, the biggest lolz to be had are that he has at $12.5 cap hit for next year...loooooooool.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

Been watching film on the Vikes this week.
One thing that stuck out at me was Greenway being pretty terrible and Barr and Hodges both being very good.
With no guaranteed money left on his contract, I think the Vikes probably cut Greenway at the end of the season. They're not going to pay him $8m to play like this next season. So unless he takes a massive pay cut, I don't see him playing here next season.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

I've never really understood why some people (who admittedly know the game a lot better than myself) seem to rate him so highly.
Whenever I bring up his poor play I'm usually told "but he's playing through injury!" which, whilst unfortunate, isn't a good reason to keep him on the roster.Minnesota Vikings, Oklahoma Sooners

Probably has something to do with Teddy being the backup most of the preseason. They spend a lot of time working on chemistry between the QB and WR's in preseason, harder to do that during the season. Some of it is Patterson not doing things he's supposed to and Teddy not hitting the big throws as well.

I think there was an expectation that he'd have a breakout year since last season he came off as being more polished than people expected. Turns out that maybe him exceeding our expectations last year lead us to believe he was farther along in the process than he really was.

Torn pec is a season ender, most likely. 4 months before he can start practicing full speed again, so he woundn't be able to start full practice/training until the end of January and probably not in game shape for a couple of weeks after that. So even if the Vikes were to somhow make the SB he probably wouldn't be back in time. Should be full go for OTAs and training camp.

I'd probably say they split with the Bears. I think they could win VS the Pathers and Dolphins but could lose to the Lions.
So, I'd probably 7-8 wins, maybe 9 if the chips really fall right.
When you think about losing AP for at least half the season, Fusco for most of it, and Rudolph for a large chunk of it and still getting 8 wins would be pretty good.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers
