Just finished The Orphanage thought it was a fantastic movie, not much of a horror film but amazingly filmed and acted along with a great storyline

just finished loading evil dead remake. will lay in the hammock on my balcony, crack open a beer and put the notebook infront of me. life is good ,,,

have high expectations, but we know how horror remakes of classics tend to go...

mildly entertaining at best.

Stake Land was really entertaining. Reminded me a lot of the Walking Dead. Similar problems and issues as they try to survive. Definitely love this genre of films.

I can confirm, Trick r Treat is one of my favorite horror movies.


Anyone here seen "The Collection"? It was in theaters a couple months ago, and is a sequel to "The Collector"

Collection isn't that bad of a movie, same problem as other sequels but really wasn't executed too badly! The villian is one creepy mofo

Agreed the Beginning is a little irritating but if you give the movie a chance its really quite good! Some clips are better then others and also consider watching the second one! That movie was just oh man

Dale and Tucker is fantastic for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I'm hoping The Battery is as good as it is.

I thought Wolf Creek got off to a bit of a slow start which I think is what put some people off. I enjoyed it though. John Jarret is apparently working on another Australian Horror movie at the moment - I spoke to someone recently who said she was working on the set.

I think my biggest problem with Wolf Creek was how blindingly stupid they made the victims, I want them dumb but they could barely tie their own shoes.

Favorite Aus horror movie so far has been The Loved Ones.

Watched TerrorVision last night for the first time. Awful, cheesy '80s movie that was just occasionally funny. Should've known it was crap when I saw Charles Band's name in the credits. An alien is transported into a family's home through their new satellite dish and begins eating them. Horrible, over-the-top acting and hard to sit through. I appreciate the '80s but this was just too much. I can see it having a niche audience though.

Anyone see the Maniac remake yet? It was playing in Boston this weekend, but I was too tired from babysitting my nieces to drive out. I'll make the trip to see the original one in a few weeks.

2. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (I actually prefer the remake)
3. Nightmare on Elm Street (the originals)
4. Jaws
5. The Stepfather (original 3)

Also big props to: Psycho, Last house on the left, Child's Play, Hostel, Scream (all of them), Silent Night, Deadly Night, Wrong Turn, Children of the Corn, The Omen, The Hills have Eyes, Orphan, Friday 13th, Deliverance, Saw...I could go on forever. Gives you an idea of my taste though - really wish they would utilise today's technology with the awesome ideas of the last few decades.

Yeah the loved ones was surprisingly good. It caused a man in real life to act out some parts of the film on his best friend
