I never said I thought there was collusion. Check back to the original thread on the Mueller investigation. I specifically said collusion is a red herring because Putin would know it would be stupid to actively collude with the incompetent morons in Trump's campaign. The Russians did engage in a sophisticated propaganda campaign on Trump's behalf in the 2016 election. I was (and still am) more interested in why, and specifically whether there are connections between Trump and Russian organized crime figures and how much he might owe them in his business ventures that might compromise him. If that is the reason that they were working for him to win, that's a big problem. Unfortunately, that's not something that was included in the Mueller report, so we still don't know.

The WSJ has a more neutral take on the story. The big detail they provide is that the political pressure Trump/Rudy were applying to the Ukrainians to do a hit job on Biden was NOT tied to the foreign aid package for them.

I don't know about "nothing". Using the office of the Presidency to pressure foreign heads of state to do oppo research for your next political campaign is not nothing, but it certainly would be a lot worse if it was tied to aid payments. That would move it from coercion to extortion and would probably be a criminal offense.
