Actually, it's been noted that Vince will hire Hollywood writers, but only if you've never been involved with wrestling before. I never could understand why he wouldn't want writers with wrestling experience. Strange man that Vince.

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

Did you see his scenes in "Beyond the Mat"? He said some weird **** like, "Once you get past the wrestling, you see what we really do here. We make movies..." I mean, damn Vince, you own damn near all the wrestling in North America, have a little frickin' pride in the product. DOn't act like it's a just a side show or a hook to something bigger. Wrestling is enough and it's just fine, thanks.Lifting weights makes me happy.

This thread is a crazy look back in time.
Really funny that OP was justifying the “smaller” guys being champion, all of whom are bigger than most wrestlers today.
Wish we were still talking about Benoit being a champion instead of what happened too.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis
