Combat Training they call it... a "complete standalone experience."
It has its own progression system. Combat Training is designed to introduce a new type of COD player and appeal to the player who never takes the game online



For the first time even in COD, you can play multiplayer by yourself or with a group of friends.

Theater Mode being demoed. Switch the player between any players perspective -- first or third person -- or free cam to move within a 3D space.


Play alone or with friends, testing maps and tactics. It's training for COD's online multiplayer mode
Your character model shows up in the menus now, so you see how customization affects the look of your avatar.



KillStreaks: Napalm Strike, Gunship, Mortar Team, the Radio Controlled Car, SAM Turret (it takes down a chopper)

In Black Ops, all things that you throw (grenades) are on your right bumper, all the things you throw to confuse are on your left bumper.

Perks: Marathon, LightWeight,

Now they have a new category for equipment like Motion Sensors (a personal UAV) and a signal Jammer.

You Can Bet InGame on 1vs1 GameType

Differently painted guns with custom targeting reticules and decals on everything.

To expand on the concept of unlocking weapons they're adding COD Points.

Contracts are time limited challenges that you purchase with COD Points (CP).

Flamethrowers, sniper rifles, shotguns... everything can be customized with stuff you've earned and unlocked.

There's also an emblem editor.

The former is a MINI GUN. The latter is a nasty Grenade Launcher.

Another new change is a batch of special weapons that players will get in Care Packages -- including the Death machine and Grim Reaper.

There are decals that you can rotate, scale, layer and be placed upon a background.

There are three categories -- Mercenaries, Operations, Specialist.


GameTypes
1. Sticks and Stones - you're equipped with a Crossbow and Throwing knife.
2. Sharp Shooter - all players start with the same randomly selected weapon, which cycles. So everyone has the same weapon at the same time.
3. Wager Match - you ante up and put your COD Points on the line and wager on matches. The top three players split the pot.

no, you need to power up your supercomputer with quad processors, 8gb ram and a $900 video card, put away the collection of fleshlights, close world at war craft and lock yourself in the room for 8 hours to get through the first level..seriously. video games are supposed to be "pick up a controller and play".

I think the tomahawk is going to be fun as fuk to use. It's pretty much the throwing knife but I think it sounds better and looks better on the kill feed.

I can't wait for people doing cross map tomahawks.

I kinda like the graphics to MW2...it's bright and colorful. I can see details and the guns look awesome.

LOL, i thought exactly the same. Very underwhelming...should probably have a radar system so you can detect nearby enemies and home in on them. Kinda lame you're just wandering around lookin for someone. But I guess it's like, what can you exect from a killstreak that only takes three kills to get.

brb taking UAV over the RC car any day of the week. in the 30 seconds it takes to drive that pos around i could activate the uav and rape some spawn

So does the RC start at your point or some random place on the map? If it starts from my point on the map that makes it very useful. Go to where someone is camping and fly into room with RC car. But it's useless if there are stairs...
