Teen Misc. High school Wrestling thread

Got area friday and saturday. Gonna get seeded 3rd or 4th. I'm thinking I'm probably going to get 4th. Top 4 goes to sectionals.

Got good news and bad news. Good news I won the Metro Championship and the coaches from Iowa Western saw me wrestle and were impressed. Bad news, I hurt my knee and shoulder so my coach might not let me wrestle in districts.

I have districts saturday, arguably one of the hardest districts in iowa. Record is 30- 10 this year coming off a dislocated elbow, torn tendons and a broken radius from last year. now i have the third seed in districts saturday even though i beat the second seed earlier this year, state here i come!

Speaking of which, i'm ****ing up FL right now. 33-1 District Champion going into Regionals, bouta win Regionals and finally be a state placer. 2 practices every day, killin it.

To win districts I spladled the kid with 6 seconds left to force OT, then shucked him by to win in front of a crowd of about 200. Feels good man.

Wrong. I was 39-10. Beat #3 and #6 to go to state and didn't care about anything after, all I wanted was to make it.

You know that people get spladled in the Olympics right? People get caught. I'm just damn good at my move, think I have 15 spladled this year.

Or maybe you're just jelly because my state is tougher than yours and I'm better than you

I'm not going to lie, but other than that lucky flip that was caused by catching the dude off guard, your entire top game looks pretty mediocre. Its good to see that you aren't reaching, but theres a lot more you can do then just tangle arms, especially when the other guy is trying to do the same **** to you.

In the regional semis.

First kid I wrestled the worst I have ever, almost lost 6-5

Second kid (36-4) I destroyed. 10-2. Took him down with a firemans dump and an underhook knee tap, then scored on a merkle and a switch, then escaped. I let him up twice

Comin for that regional championship, I know i'm gonna win my semis match lol so it's only the finals.

My record now is 35-1

You should've dug a little deeper to win 1 more. That sucks, I know how you feel. Last year at state I also ended worst seed. I got 2nd at regionals (it's sectionals with a top 4).

Never seen anyone in the Olympics get spladled. I have seen one in the World Championships, and sure any move can be done at any level. But in Nebraska none of the good wrestlers get spladled.

According to this Nebraska is better than Florida, also I have wrestled kids from more states this season than you have your entire high school career. Including a 3-2 decision of the No. 1 160 from Iowa.
If you wanna go beyond highschool, Nebraska has better collegiate teams also. Infact Florida's best one is a CLUB team. Nebraska just lost the the 3 time Defending Div. II Champs. We still have a top ten Division one Program, another Top 5 Div. II team, another Top 25 Div. II team, and a Top 5 NAIA team.
I'll admit there are good teams in Florida, Brandon HS for example. But no one I know is impressed with Florida wrestling overall.

you would not believe how deep my weight class is. my 1st match was a quick pin then I lost 1-4 to the guy who would then get 4th, I would soon get another quick pin and qualify for state, then lost 2-6 to the 3rd place guy, Would then lose 7-3 to the 7th place guy.

The other 8 who did not qualify for state were all pinned in the 1st period by the 8 who did make it. The guy who I lost for 7th place got 5th at state last year.

Where was I bragging about losing? Yea I know both of those schools, St. Cloud's coach wrestled for NEBRASKA-OMAHA. I had an offer from Nebraska-Omaha until they dropped their program which btw won 6 of the last 8 Division II championships. I also have offers from Nebraska-Kearney, Maryville, and Iowa Western.
If Nebraska is **** for college, why are the Huskers ranked 7th and 15-3 in duals, with all three losses to the top 3 teams in the country?
