Electronic music is already merging with pop / hip hop / rock. The popularity of EDM was just too hard to ignore. The fact is that a computer can tap into certain frequencies and produce unique effects that a normal instrument cannot.

Pretty soon bands playing with a classic instrumental sound will become a thing of the past.
