Can someone please ban this dude? I've never seen someone riding a fighter's dick so hard in my life lol. Carwin dominated Lesnar for the first round (10-8) and then cramped up/gassed because he tried to finish and Lesnar just pulled a win out the ass. Before that, Lesnar was getting beat in every way possible. Lesnar is no doubt the #1 HW right now, but it wasn't a dominating display. All that fight showed me was that Shane Carwin is clearly the #2 HW in the world and would probably beat Lesnar in a rematch if he paced himself better. Lesnar still has a lot to improve on besides submissions.
Carwin stopped him 3 times in the first. In the second, even a half fresh Carwin would have stopped that slow ass shot. He was just too fatiqued and gassed to stop it though. Lets not act like Lesnar was 100% fresh in the second either. He slowed down considerably, and that's for a guy who just stood there and got pounded on as opposed to throwing the punches.Last edited by Clean; 07-04-2010 at 11:44 AM.

I gave Lesnar his props unlike the rest, but you can't say someone has "vastly improved" when they got their ass kicked for one whole round and than beat an opponent who overcommitted and gassed. I was impressed with Lesnar's chin and heart and that he knew a submission and took it, but Lord Lemon and the rest of the fanboys act like Lesnar is some great technical striker or BJJ expert now. The reason Carwin lost was more of his doing and less of Lesnar's with the exception of the submission. I don't think he would have finished Carwin without that submission, but he took it and won.

Would love to see a match up between Brock and Josh Barnett, I think Josh would give brock a run for his money. Will never happen in the UFC though, too much bad blood between Josh and Dana, plus Josh would have to be off of "all sports supplements". Also, would love to see Erik Paulson coach against Brock. Or would he? CSW grudge match between their top two fighters.

It ain't that hard..
Why would this be a shock?
I'm not a Brock fan, but he clearly learns fast.
He also clearly follows a good game plan (might have to thank his corner for that). He got a solid corner.
He really need to work on his stand-up. I'm not saying he needs to start koíng people, but he should't get dominated like that. It will help him set up TD's in the future.
About Carwin. I felt bad he gassed. Saw it happening a mile away. Could have been from the cut, but anyway, he should have pased himself and his corner should have seen this and warned him. If he kept his cool and didn't go for the finish all out, he could have landed some good hits that would count. Not hitting uselessly on Brocks guard.
I truly believe that if Carwin wasn't so eager to finish the fight in a record time, he would have won. Brock's corner saw he was gassed, they even told him so. Apperently Brock had this happening aswell, hitting for so long wil guess you. This made Carwin to weak to stuff a TD and defent a submission.. Brock capatalised well on it!
+ Brock sure as hell can take a beating, I thoutgh he would panick at some point. He recovers fast aswell. He's gonna need it with a stand-up like that if he ever faces Overeem
Now bring Overeem to the UFC to dominate them BOTH

I don't recall you saying that about the 1st Mir/lesnar fight. So you're saying Mir decidedly won the 1st fight on skill, and all that matters is he got "the W" now?!?!?
Hypocrite much???
1st round: Carwin DOMINATED and CONTROLLED lesnar. He ragdolled him and beat his *ss to a bloody pulp, literally! He straight up beat the brakes off lesnar's shocked and surprised *ss. Lesnar didn't even know what hit him and didn't even know what to do, all he could do was turtle up in the fetal position in the corner. Pathetic. At one point Lesnar stopped fighting completely because he couldn't do anything. Worthless as tits on a bull.
2nd round: Lesnar got a lucky sub. Remember that, lesnar fans? From mir/lesnar 1? Say it isn't so this time around!I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid and lazy people, just that we should eliminate warning labels and welfare, let the problem take care of itself.

Agreed. I think Carwin just made a mistake that many do, by punching themselves out. I get it, he thought he had him, we all did. The ref only did the same thing the ref did for the finney fight. Every time it looked like it might be over, Brock would do something to show he wasn't done.
I will give props to Brock. He got beat up in that first round and came back to win with something he didn't have (that we knew of) before. I am in no way a fan of the man, but credit where it's due. That was the first time I actually enjoyed watching him fight, and saw a vast improvement in him as a fighter.
I actually wouldn't mind a re-match of that fight, see if anyone can change their game.Poi Dog

Yeah ok. Carwin gave lesnar an ass whopping, lesnar got in a lucky sub(according to lesnar fans). What's there to be upset about? Carwin learned his lesson and will come back and dominate him even worst next time. He's already proven he is capable of ragdolling and controlling lesnar nonstop anywhere and everywhere, however he wants. He just needs to pace himself next time and go for the KO/TKO/Sub in an opening.
No worries here.I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid and lazy people, just that we should eliminate warning labels and welfare, let the problem take care of itself.

have you watched lesnar's shots? It's not as simple as just sprawling. Dude's shot is crazy.
It's like saying "well all dan hardy had to do was learn to sprawl"
don't you think these guys know going into the fight that they need to work on TDD? you act like this is some big secret. Against an elite wrestler it is WAY easier said than done

No kidding, look at the last fight with Askren and Hornbuckle. Dan's known as being very good at BJJ, but Askren made him look like he'd never studied a day in his life (slight exaggeration). Against that top level it's hard to defend unless you trained with that guy yourself.
