In all honesty there were no white aamuaries either. Why does it bother everyone sl much that the lead character happens to be black this time? That's ridiculous
You can't cry woke about everything
The lead character in metroid was a chick and that was how many years ago? 30?

AC's "lore" isn't exactly consistent, but "not sticking out like a sore thumb while you massacre the locals" has been a central point throughout all the games. They even included it in the assassin "tenets".
Ubi has always inserted diversity quota side characters into their games - like some FtM tranny in XIXth century England - but it's what they do, doesn't really matter.
Can you come up with arguments that would support the decision?

Imagine actually wanting to post on some highly authoritarian propaganda center like that. Isn't that supposed to be a gaming site? It's such a joke.
Also lol @ them trying to fit some "white people bad, we need to fight whites" bullchit in there they try to self-justify. These people are such massive hypocrites yet their head is so far up their ass they will never see it.

Can't see myself playing this after starting up this Ghost Of Tsushima. Something about playing as an authentic Japanese Samurai feels right. I don't know about playing as a diversity hire anti history character. Some of these developers are fuking ridiculous. Indie games are looking better and better.

Ubisoft has never been consistent with anything, really, always wanting to have their cake and eat it, too when it comes to historical accuracy/realism versus total bullschit, which is something that has always put me off from their games. It's not even that I mind fantasy - assuming it was actually done well - but Ubisoft's fantasy, and especially sci-fi, is just schit. And the more that they get overtaken by DEI hirees, the worse that the schit smells.
Ghost of Tsushima's mere existence makes Ubisoft's attempts at trying to tag along utterly pathetic when Ghost perfectly handles the subject.
Likewise, it additionally addresses what has become the Asscreed games' massive flaws in terms of the design choice, player choice, and Ubisoft wanting to chase every trend through the idea of playing as a "ghost" or samurai.
Therein lies the obvious solution to so many of Asscreed's design philosophy flaws and Ubisoft wanting to make both a stealth game and action RPG.
If they began allowing the player to take the full RPG dive and actually build towards how they play with legitimately meaningful differences as to how you play/control, how NPCs react to you, how the story changes, ect., then we might not have such retarded things like viking raiders who won't actually kill anyone or people in full armor somehow being stealthy.
That's the thing: everyone knows why they picked a guy with some three lines of history, same as how everyone knows why activist/revisionist historians continue trying to blur the semantics of another culture to paint him as some kind of mythical hero.
That isn't to diminish Yasuke as an interesting part of history for the period, but everything is black and white with those kinds of people.
I seriously wish they would have just gutted 100% of the modern stuff in Black Flag because I could never get past those slogs. The fact that they insisted on trying to still make it an assassin's creed game with the stupid "follow and eavesdrop the imbeciles" kind of missions didn't help, either.
To think that they almost stumbled upon the best new franchise but were too attached to an IP name that has lost all meaning.
That's another area where Ghost of Tsushima shines because the protagonist isn't wearing the most overly ornamental armor like he just killed the final boss who happened to be the Emperor and is now fukking around trying to clear question marks on a map.
Same deal with Valhalla's armor; at a certain point someone needs to tell Ubisoft to fukk off and just stick with pure fantasy since they can't restrain themselves.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

Can't even make sense out of their statement. "building a world where white acceptance doesn't actually matter anymore?" Like having to be accepting of an entire race of people is such a bad thing while trying to push the virtue of accepting every phucked up demographic on earth lol. Only leftists could be so contradictory and confused.

This man gets it.
That's also quite tame for vidja late game armor. Contrast it to Valhalla's Skyrim-at-home abortions:
Spoiler!
Odyssey has a couple outfits that aren't quite as bad, but then goes full retard back to wish.com fantasy dreamed up by an AI.
Of their recent games, Origins is my favorite, hands down.
Ubisoft has zero restraint, and again, they should piss off and just make fantasy games instead of always forcing their sci-fi/fantasy mustard relish into the historical peanut butter because when their historical team is allowed to cook, they put out fantastic things. Unfortunately, they're strung along with the rest of Ubisoft's garbage output.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

It is lol. And even so, those specific suits are his "go out in the open and fuk chit up" suits. Top one is the super tank armor and bottom one is the super offense armor. There are a bunch of other sleek ones that focus on stealth/archer/ninja abilities
Yeah those are some ugly ass armors no doubt. I don't mind late game armor getting badass to reflect your increased power/notoriety but they really do need to reel it in with some of those designs you posted. I even see some potential for a few of them but they went and over designed them to hell. Strong lack of cohesion imo▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
