I dont even think i could list all the proteins i've had over the years...definitly tried all the 'name brands', and have recently stuck w/ MRM Metabolic whey for my whey protein. Good price, good taste, good results.(i use abb mass recovery for post workout, great pwo blend)
For weight gainer, MHP Mass weight gainer is fav.

I've been buying the 10lb bag's on ON's 100% Whey for awhile now. Good stuff, Vanilla Ice Cream is versatile enough that you can mix it into many different liquids and still have good taste!"I've gotta say what I've gotta say and then I swear I'll go away, but I can't promise you'll enjoy the noise"

why is it that everyone seems to like the Optimum nutrition protein. maybe its the variety of flavors. i just looked at ON's website and it doesnt even have any real facts about there protein but if you notice is shows the fact sheet thats on the back of the bottle. the second product on the list is whey protein concentrate. this is an inferior form of protein. as a few people have said only the best protein works the best. I only use CFM ultra filtered whey its the most highly bioavailable you can get. ive recently started using a blend that contains CFM isolate, egg albumin, and micellar casein. i use this at night and in the morning and use just the CFM whey before during and after workout. ive recently reached a max squat of 500 a dead lift of 565 and a 320 hang clean.
these are my thoughts put the best in and get the best out

I like Nitro Tech actually, I love the chocolate taste, and the results i get. I take 3 scoops with milk, one in the morning, one for lunch, and one at night. so thats 60 grams of protein total. Maybe it's just me, but I like it. If you asked for my opinion, I'd try it out. It's the only protein I take.

I agree a blend is best (specifically whey, casein, and egg). There is no proof, however, that micellar casein provides any greater of a benefit with respect to building muscle than does caseinate. There IS definitive proof of the benefit of casein as a protein which provides for superior net retention, but none of the superiority of micellar casein over caseinate.

Overall on this topic, if you're bodybuilding on a budget, I think ON 100% Whey is the best choice. If you can afford it, Beverly Int. Muscle Provider, and the Ergopharm GF-PRO are top of the line. Cytodyne's Cytopro WPI is a high quality economical choice as well.
