Suspension is one of the minor issues, all stock suspensions had spring sag badly within the first couple years. You could go as simple as tossing some new springs in for cheap or replace everything for a bunch of money.
Not sure how he spent $9k, there is no need to drop that kind of money on a diff. Also, there is no front diff, it is a rwd car.*Only drive manual crew*

If your going to do you entire car I would say to not even think about it unless your going to invest in the Pro Car Kit with the gun and everything. Helped my buddy dip his lifted F-350 and it turned out so nice using the spray gun. All I can recommend is to not cut any corners on the prep work and to watch some of the demo videos on DipYourCar's youtube channel. You'll pick up a lot of good pointers from the vids.
