Old is in how you feel, you're only as old as you feel!!
Took some stills from my leg workout last night, my legs are definitely growing and it is a great feeling. Got lots of compliments from gym members, not only on my legs but my overall build in general and definitely makes one feel good.

It IS a great feeling!
My legs are finally starting to grow - they were pretty darn skinny last October. My calves are still pretty small since they're not a huge part of the powerlifting movements, but I've added 1-2 accessory days a week in my home gym and hope to hit a few of my weaker areas then.
Hot legs! And good workIt's never too late!

Looking good bodyhard! When you look bigger even with clothes on, that's progress!
Strong deadlifting PhDPepper1111....never did halting deads but they always seemed brutal
Getting psyched for my workout in another hour or so....have to do OHP since I blew them off Wednesday. May try working up to a heavy single and then rep work today

Some videos from today's workout. First is a 280 lbs beltless, paused ATG squat. The next two are 182.5 lbs standing barbell overhead press which unfortunately came out blurry. Intended to do just one single then some back off sets but looks like there is a slight dip with my first 182.5 lbs attempt so re-did it. Rounding out the workout were 3 sets of good mornings after squats and before OHP (which may have affected the press) and one arm DB rows and ab wheel rollouts after pressing.
280 lbs "No No No" Squat
First 182.5 lbs OHP (slight knee dip?)
Second 182.5 lbs OHP (think its strict)

Believe it or not that was the hardest thing for me, looking big in clothes and this year I am accomplishing that, even in hoodies!! Thanks for the props!
Question how do you workout in such a crowded place? Also your form is always on point!!Last edited by bodyhard; 06-05-2021 at 07:27 PM.

I can’t record everything but I just wanted to post that for the last 3 Saturday’s I have been doing strict standing overhead pressing from the rack.
Today has been my best standing overhead pressing ever.
3 weeks ago I did a bunch of singles with 150.
Last week I did a bunch of sets of 3 with 130 and 4 for my last set.
Today I did a bunch of sets of 3 with 140 and my last TWO sets were 4’s
I think next week I’m gonna do singles again with 155, and continue the cycles above adding reps, keep cycling the weight that way.
I was always a better squatter and dead lifter than overhead presser, but now I’m backing off those in weight. Vice versa I saw a guy at the gym who can overhead press 230 anytime but can barley dead lift 365. He looks like a monster too cause of those presses.

Oh yeah, looking big in clothes is the Holy Grail. You definitely look like a lifter even fully dressed!
I'm thinking about joining a gym again but the small space doesn't bother me because even before pandemic I had a minimalist routine. If I want to get my squat back to pre-pandemic levels though, definitely need to get back to a real gym.
Thanks for the props on form. I see how your form is on your videos so it means a lot!

Medium squat day, worked up to a 298.5 lbs single and then dropped to 283.5 lbs to do some rep work. Actually did 2 singles with 298.5 lbs since depth in first one was debatable. Think hit parallel on second one which I'm posting. Its pretty much as low as I can get with a lever belt, I like prong belts better and was "anti lever belts" for a long time but when Pioneer came out with their adjustable lever, I tried it and sort of like it more than I used to. Once again wanted to test out a beltless, ATG paused squat so did one with 283.5 lbs. Slight heel rise with the flat shoes....
The rather odd poundages I use is because my previous bar weighed 28 lbs so the weight would come out to something like 103 or 108 lbs instead of 100, 105 or 110 and keeping consistent with that for now. Plus I microload and only go up 2.5 lbs most of the time...
298.5 lbs
283.5 lbs beltless, ATG and paused

Paused it the best I could, may or may not be at the lowest point but going to give myself a white light ☺
